finally this drama bullshyt is over, favre pisses me off cuz he prob loves this attention, a classic drama queen in a dude's body. Finally the Giants have a better reason to kill the Jets now besides being their rival...Favre's gonna get his ass wooped by the G-Men AGAIN.

He should have stayed retired, this is bull****.

Word, i used to like Brett before all this bull**** the past 3 years....dude needs to stop catching feeling and let it go....it's over. I honestly think last season was a fluke....

He'll be that dude at 45 that keeps trying to make a comeback.

Giants aren't that good, just have great chemistry.

They lost their biggest chemistry guy and leader in Strahan.
They won't really be any better, actually be WORSE with other NFL teams improving; happends to every Superbowl team unless your the Pats.
Giants are yesterday news, Giant fans need to accept the fact that the media is going to dick ride the Jets now since Giants are no longer sexy.

Jets are complete.

Bubba Franks and Tony Richardson are probably the best blockers at their position.

We signed a 7 time pro bowler, and got a matured Ferguson and Mangold who will learn a lot from Faneca. Damien Woody isn't no slouch either.

Our blocking will be good at worst, and elite at best.

Our biggest weakness last season was offensive and defensive line,

I already explained the O-Line, with the D-Line, we got one of the best.

Jenkins.
Along with Gholston, Pace who both can alternate between outside LB and DE...Coleman is a productive run stopping DE also....along with the pro bowler Ellis.

Revis/Dyson/Miller/Barett is SOLID...it could actually be very GOOD if our d-line dominates.

A great Dline creates a good secondary.

Rhodes is one of the best at his position, and Eric Smith has always been looked as a promising safety.

At RB, we got power with Jones, and quickness with Washington who's bound for a break out season. Give these guys a great O-line, very efficient running game for the Jets.

With WR's, Coles and Cotchery are both capable of 1000 yard seasons, along with a very good 3rd string WR in Brad Smith.

The top it all of, Brett Favre. He hasn't had much talent in Green Bay the last 8 years, he always MADE guys good. Like Donald Driver was a no body before Favre.

We won.

i dont think the Jets can do worse than last season and its a good move to finally get rid of Pennigton but son u buggin with the Giants shyt. The Giants beat the top teams last year in the playoffs and showed that they had one of the nastiest defensive teams in the NFL. Of course losing Strahan will hurt but we have so much talent in guys like Justin Tuck that he is a great young replacement for Strahan...the GM Reese has shown to have A+ scouting abilities in only one year so im not worried about the future. And for your Jets, most people expect them to win 8 games at best a wildcard spot, u make them out to be better then the Giants, thats funny. Plus Eli's confidence is at 100% now with the super bowl win and the Giants made Brett Favre look like a scrub in his own field. Your right about the Giants main thing is the chemistry, but also the fact that they have great young talented players that will only get better and have shown to have determination beyond most teams. Dont forget we have a top defensive coach in Steve Spagnuolo so are coaching staff is also top notch.

I just can't see how one game can change Eli's confidence, I think we'll see the old Eli this season; dude has a lot of flaws in general.

Stahan's voice and leadership cannot be replaced...I just think Giants had one of the most amazing runs in NFL history, but I wouldn't be surprised if they come back to reality.

Every Giant fan thought like you when Eli was messing up before the run last year. But it wasnt only the super bowl that brought up his confidence, it was the second half of the season and the last game of the regular season when the Giants lost to the Patriots by 3, they had a determination to beat them and win it all. I didnt even expect the Giants to beat the Cowboys, Packers, and Patriots when all three teams were hot as hell last season. So even though the Giants were on a run, the other teams they beat were also going crazy that year expecially Favre and the Packers. Also Tom Brady had his best year with the Pats who were undefeated but should have lost a few games despite some luck towards the Pats way. Eli and the Giants overcame top teams when they were on a roll, its your opinion if you dont think Eli will improve and be great. But he showed the nation that he is a step above most QB's and won a superbowl at an earlier age then his Hall of Fame brother Peyton.

A. As long as Eli is a top 20 qb giants should be the wild card again. The running game is too good/versatile. Eli's job is pretty easy, considering they have an under rated O Line, and top 5 running team.

B. Brett doesn't really make the Jets appreciably better. He's going to be throwing in worse condition in Giants Stadium (circular winds). Seeing how Brett to me is what Eli Manning could be one day (mad TD's mad into's, makes a lot of risky plays in double/triple coverage, runs around too much instead of throwing the ball away or taking the sack) it may not translate to more wins for the jets.

Eli is much better than a top 20 QB....he's proven to be more clutch and accurate than most QB's in the NFL...as of right now he is atleast top 10, and will get better, if he doesnt get injured he has a promising future.

hmm the brett favre experiment def brought thrills for a while, and then it all fell apart. personally i thought mangini was more to blame than brett, but he did play quite poorly down the stretch. i want your guys opinions since ur jets fan, Would you like brett favre back next season? or rebuild with another QB through the draft or free agency (cuz i dont think clemens is the real deal)?

KnickzrulezH20, the way I see it is that we're going to need brett for another year so that he can mentor a rookie QB next season. Kellen hasn't shown many flashes of greatness, so it would be wise for the knicks to pick up a QB in one of the first couple of rounds. One more season of brett would give us a solid year (9-7 or better) with the possibilities of going far in the playoffs.

Brett has to want to come back next year, If he does the jets would be morons to not bring him back. The problem was deff mangini the jets have way more then enough talent to win. Some guys can win in NY and some Cant. Mangini was one who cant.

What I don't see the JETS having is superstars on offense. Thomas jones is getting old. We should also consider bringing in a young running back out of college. Maybe C.J. Spiller?

Also, Great pickup in Rex Ryan... He was the perfect move for the jets and not spags, They need to get rid of schottenheimer I think... Sour grapes for not getting the HC job.

Gholsten is going to have a breakout year with Ryan as their coach, he's a defensive mastermind, now they just need a nice young quarterback i think they shou;ld try and trade into the top5 and take Shanchez....that dude is pretty good

If the Jets don't go for a big time QB during the draft then they don't deserve to ever be in the playoffs. They need a young spark and leader on this team...you CANNOT trust Favre in any situation especially when it comes to his retirement decision(changed 4 times?)

DaTPRiNCE
Jan 22, 2009, 19:45
yea when it comes to retirment he's worse then Jordan

they have lots of good players that they could package them in with their first rounders this year and next year get the 3 pick and take shancez or statford

Letting brett play will only hurt the jets the season right after Favre leaves. They would have to get by with an unexperienced young QB. I don't think the other 2 they have would get the job done. Letting Pennington go was a big mistake, especially after they went out and spent so much in Jenings and Co.

Sanchez was born and raised in California.. He's got that laid back west coast attitude.. He would never be able to get it done it NY... Just my opinion. I agree they deff need a QB, But I am an avid watcher and follower of all things football.. Sanchez + New York = Disaster.

maybe your right but playing for USC is no walk in the park either, and the jets are going to see major upgrades in these categories next season:

1. Defense, will be shut down
2. Running Game, huge part of Ravens success and Ryan learned a few things there, look for Washington to be better
3. Consistency, basically thats what caused them the playoffs, that and the defense and the defense lead to the inconsistency, Ryan will fill both holes

Ravens won with a young quarterback and so could the Jets the peices are there they just need to put it together

Flacho > Sanches

The jets should go after Sam Cassell. I am pretty sure he will not want to be Tom Brady's back up, not after this season. Also his numbers are very similar to brady's first season in NE.

Definitely, ryan is gonna make the running game a focal point of the JETS offense. I heard him talk on the mike and mike show the other day and he mentioned how we need an all-weather type of offense. And of course the running is best for any type of weather.

Unless of course your the New York Giants and play in a windy meadowlands and throw the ball 40+ times a game, With a quarterback who couldn't throw a brick through a Payne of glass. And also have three excellent running backs. Two that rushed over one thousand yards.

what the Cowboys did last year and Ginats did this year is that they took their opponents lightly they thought they were the better team(which was the case in both incidents) just because they were wild-card teams so they took its easy and it came back and bit em in the ass

Cowboys 2010 Superbowl Champs im calling it now...

Dont know about the cowboys winning it in 2010 haha , And I dont know so much about the giants taking there opponents lightly, I think that without plaxico the whole complexion of the team changed... When your a possesion first offense, and you lose your main key after your running backs, there is no question your offense is going to struggle. However, I do not totally blame plax, We had several weeks to patch up the offense and or try to establish a new game plan in his absence. Gilbride the OC is major issue with me, Not sure if you guys remember him getting punched in the face by buddy ryan when he was with the oilers but I think he should get punched in the face a couple more times because his playcalling is way to predictable... However, Both Dallas and the Giants will be back better then ever last year... you can bet that! DaTPRiNCE you live in brooklyn!!! you like the DalASS cowboys?!?!? hahaha!

and we had injuries last year too most notably terrell owens was playing with a torn ligament in his hand, which led to all the drops last year, and he was playing with a pulled hamstring muscle doctors said he shoulda sat out the game but T.O is a competitor so t.o was basically a non factor and our go to reciever was.....Patrick Crayton? wtf is that ****. thank god we have Roy Williams as well now, if only we throw him the ball next year....

Hahaha yes Thank you for correcting me!!

I think you guys will throw a boat load of money at ray, But to be honest I don't think he'll leave Baltimore.. He's god down there.. I know. I lived in Northern VA/DC/Baltimore Area... Its tough down there.. He's their guy... However if Dallas does get ray that makes their defense down right scary.. I know T.O. is your favorite player and you might not like to hear this, but I cant stand that man... He's been on three great teams and as had chances to win championships with all three and time and time again he's turned it into the T.O. show.... I cant stand him personally... Hey, He's a GREAT player.. Phenomenal, He's just a basketcase can't handle not being in the spotlight 24/7. Dallas stays healthy next year they should be good as always, But mark my words.. They'll never win a championship as long as T.O. is on the team

T.O is the man(no homo) and hey alot of people dont like T.O but i just think the media is on his nuts too much half the time the comments he makes are just that comments that you hear and you move on,just like that end of season bull**** drama with T.O Witten and Romo shoulda been left alone, T.O could take a **** tomorrow and the media wil make a big deal out of it. and if i remember correctly he was the one that kept Philly in the game during their superbowl loss to the Patriots he couldnt be stopped and he almost won them the SB.

Having Ray Lewis on our team would be great he'd be perfect in the middle theres plenty of Defensive players on the market this year i would like us to get Asumadaja( i def spelled his name wrong) from Oakland the dude is good and he's young and he's a free agent and would improve our secondary alot next to Newman and Henry( both who are injured alot) and with pro bowl Safties in Hamlin and Williams(when he gets healthy) we would be a force to be reckoned with.
