I totally disagree with this (although I do totally understand and respect your opinion). The organisation has been gearing up towards a Lebron type player to join us for a while now after been dragged through the S**T for YEARS now, and I would love for Lebron James, probably the best individual talent in the NBA right now...coming into the prime of his career...to help build our franchise into the powerhouse it should be and should continue to be. :gony:

no no dont get me wrong i definitely want us to get a superstar with so many out there you'd think were bound to get at least one but LeBron, im starting to second guess whether i want him or not, its going to turn our team into a circus and i just dont want that. remember our team of the late 90's we had our superstar( Ewing ) and we made a few finals. but a player like lebron having his own 30 minute show and all not worth it to me just makes us seem low and like were begging him to come play for us and i simply wont give into that. and after witnessing his 50 point game against us at the garden and him getting a standing O at the end was the nail in the coffin. knick fans should NEVER cheer on an opposing player even if he does drop 102 points, he contributed to our losing, i mean the same crowd boo'd the celtics 2 nights later when they blew us out, Lebron and Kobe practically blew us out and scored 67? and 52 points respectively and they got cheered on as they didnt. so **** lebron coming to the knicks sure id make us a top team and ill be happy with us doing that but **** lebron i'll be cheering when we knock him out of the playoffs and he walks off pissed off, then he'd get my standing O

I understand your point of view but what if he comes into the Garden at some point again or multiple times and completely teabags us out of the playoffs then we'd be saying "oh why didn't the Knicks do more to try and get him". If we have to beg, so be it but I really don't see any type of begging going on. We are just putting out there that the offer is there and we are putting ourselves in a position to make a superstar like Lebron comfortable playing in our city with a good chance of winning a championship as the result.

yea i hear you bro but an "antilebron" team can be built you know. with us offering him a show does seem kind of low to me no player is worth having his own show you know what i mean. sure i'd accept us going after lebron but we know what we can offer him and thats the max so we offer him the max and thats it he knows the ups and downs of playing in NY so he could mull it over he accepts then great if not then lets knock him out the playoffs year after year. haha
We have been in a mess in the last decade, so getting the best (or 2nd best) player of the NBA is a major turning point for us. And we can get him a top class partner as well in Chris Bosh(or some other top FA). We have been waiting for this moment for a long time, and any action taken in order to enhance this feeling (of resurrection) is justified imo.
I would be disappointed if miss the chance to build the roster we want and deserve. And that includes LeBron James.

Seven years into LeBron James' career, he's cocky, arrogant, and championship-less. He's not Superman, his game has holes. His arrival would automatically bring new "fans" to the team.
That said, he's maybe the best player in the nba. If you have the chance to get him on your team, you don't think twice.

Like I've said in some topics, the one thing that would be more amazing than getting LeBron would be getting Carmelo Anthony and David Lee and Joe Johnson as our big 3 and then **** LeBron in the ass as we knock the Cavaliers out of the playoffs lol
lmao that would be sweet to knock out lebron if he rejected us in free agency for his stupid cleaveland fans that will be "Broke and heartless" without Lebron James...they have to be the biggest losers in the world to bank their economy and hopes in life on a sports player. Putting so much pressure on a 25 year old actually pisses me off.
If I was James I'd leave the Cavs just because of that, it's not love, they are putting guilt on Lebron, oldest trick in the book.
I really think if Carmelo does not sign an extension with the Nuggets this year, that he will most def be a Knick.
