I'm just spreading the word to the rest of us fans. An intrepid fan has made big strides in organizing knick fans. It is our duty as NYC area knick fans to take the day off on that wed, and support the cause. This event is going to be huge as the media will be in place to record the events. Just imagine how embarassing its going to be for Dolan and Stern.

Hey Everyone,

A big thanks to all the supporters of selltheknicks.com! We really are making an impact, and this thing is only a few weeks old. We've got a big date coming up and that's June 28, 2006 - the NBA Draft. Representatives from every team in the league will be there, along with the Commissioner, David Stern. The event will be televised on national TV by ESPN from our very own Madison Square Garden. As if that wasn't a big enough deal already, everyone knows that the Chicago Bulls will be selecting with our #2 lottery pick as a result of the Eddy Curry trade. This is a prime opportunity for us to get noticed and drive home the incompetence of Dolan and crew.

The best way to get noticed and to have the largest impact is to be organized. I have started a thread in the main Knicks forum on the website to gauge people's interest in various activities on the day of the draft. Nothing is set in stone, so don't feel bad if you can't or don't want to do something. This is just a short survey to know what we're dealing with.

I think it would be great to do a short meet and greet beforehand just to rally everyone together and get us pumped. I have been talking to a couple of restaurants near MSG to see if they can host this. Then we could do a huge march from the restaurant to MSG (only a couple of blocks). Just an idea I had, feel free to e-mail me if you have other ideas on how we can get organized. Anyway, if you can please go to the forums and reply in the thread it would be much appreciated. This is the easiest way for me to have all the info in one place.

This thing is really catching steam. The protest looks like its going to have an impressive turnout, and should get national attention in the sports world.

www.selltheknicks.com

A.The PTI guys talked about it.
B. Stephen A. Smith has also.
C. The New York Post has been instrumental in pluggin it (they really are pushing the story as an exclusive).
D. Dolan's taken notice and attempted to close down the site.
E. ESPN has a stroy on it on the front page of the NBA section (Insiders Only)
F. The Owner of the site has been invited by ESPN to be a part of a national web chat on its Sportsnation page.

C'mon guys, be apart of this. As much as we waste our days bickering over trades, we are all bonded by our love for this team.

I hope everyone who has a chance will go, this is going to be a huge event, the media is on the fans' side, i know it probably won't change much but at least we show we care about the team not just about the tickets

Great Idea and a truly worthy cause. I will be there at 5 pm to march after I get out of work.

We must religiously chant "Down with Dolan", "Dolan Sucks" or "Free the Knicks" during the entire NBA Draft.

The NYPD said the protest is legal and will be escorting all the fans. I bet any chance the city has to screw Dolan is legal.

How about chanting "Let's go Knicks"? Was that Dolan benching David Lee following that 6 game winning streak? Was that Dolan trashing his players in the Papers? Something, by the way, that if a player did would get him fined and labled a cancer in the lockerroom. Was that Dolan burying Frye, Robinson and Lee on the bench? Was that Dolan not blocking shots or rebounding as if he were scared to mess up his manicure (Curry)? You talk all that trash about Dolan, but through all of this, not once did he trash Larry Frontrunner in the papers. You can't say the same about Brown. He showed no class doing that stuff. Dolan should be your hero. He got rid of Larry Frontrunner! Now Nate & Company can shine!

Theres about 500 fans marching down 46th street that feel the same way moron. Why don't you read any newspaper, or just put watch any station not named MSG to give you a reason why Dolan is the worst owner in New York Sport's history. Or give me a good explanation fans shouldn't be mad at Dolan.. I work until 5, and I dont mind responding til then.

I don't agree with you, so I'm a moron? How very 8th grade.
Well, here's a few reasons for you, junior:
1) I don't know you, but I'd guess he has a few more dollars in his wallet than you do, making him able to buy the team you profess to love so much.
2) As I stated earlier, he refused to follow Larry Frontrunner's lead and talk trash about his employees in the papers, which takes class (I'll explain what I mean by 'class' to you later, if you like).
3) He's shown loyalty to Isiah, the man chosen to rebuild the team, and he was smart enough to know when his coach was to sabotaging his team and wasn't shy about pulling a 40m trigger and cut out the cancer.
You know, it's not uncommon for us poor folk to misunderstand the doings of the rich, and, you must admit, those rich folks do make easy targets, huh?
Don't worry, though, you'll be praising him soon as he's proven to have made the right moves and the Knicks turn this thing around.
Moron, lol!

i know the losing ppl can blame other ppl for the losing but i dont understand the hate against dolan, i believe the knicks are fortunate to have a owner like dolan, dolan shows that he is willing to spend money instead breaking the whole team and rely on drafting and free agents, i like ppl who at least try

honestly, am i the only one who thought some of the knicks fans made the entire state look bad last night. i felt like i was watching a high school graduation party. the one kid could barely stand and somehow screamed out during his 10 second interview "we gotta fire isiah. get him the hell outta ny". i really thought he was gonna puke all over the reporter. that woulda made the night complete.

I couldn't agree more! That was a pretty sad display even though I agree with the Fire Isiah sentiments.

James Dolan is a horrific owner. He's a Corporate Dictator who has been bringing down all of his father's businesses for almost 10 years. I'm not just talking about the Knicks either. How bad were the Rangers before this season? Remember when the The Whiz stores were everywhere and profitable? Dolan drove them out of business with poor management.

Check out the list of Dolan's greatest hits:

Dolan chased successful GM's Ernie Grunfeld (Knicks GM) and Neil Smith (Rangers GM) out of town. They couldn't work for the man. He followed Smith up with the awful Glen Sather hire.

After chasing away Grunfield he hired Ed Tapscot (drafted Fredrick Weiss), Scott Laydon (too many bad moves to list) and Isiah Thomas as GM.

Former Knicks Jeff Van Gundy got a first hand look at how bad management was above him and elected to smartly take the first plane out of town. Dolan and company have gone through at least five head coaches since.

Under Dolan, Madison Square Garden has consistently raised Knicks and Rangers ticket prices while the teams have been awful.

There have been two sexual harrasment suits against Garden management since Dolan got there.

Dolan has consistently raised Cablevision service prices without remorse.

Dolan had two very public battles with the YES network and Timewarner over subscriber fees resulting in Yankees and Mets fans missing out on dozens of baseball games.

MSG Network broadcasters can't speak their mind freely because they know Dolan won't stand any criticism against his teams or businesses.

Dolan originally teamed up with Woody Johnson in the West Side Stadium project for the NY Jets before changing his mind and backing out. Dolan then spent millions of dollars to deseminate anti-stadium lies and propaganda to sabotage a stadium on the West Side for the Jets. His reasoning? GREED BABY, GREED! He didn't want the Jets Stadium to take away any of the massive amounts of cash he gets from concerts and other events at the Garden.

Why do people hate Dolan and blame him for the Knicks struggles? It does't take a moron to figure this one out.

He's a greedy, evil man that cares about only two things. Filling his pockets with money and pumping up his own gigantic ego. Enough said.

Die Dolan Die...well said.

Dolan is a complete fool and a disgrace with how he has ran the Knicks and the Rangers into the ground.

You Dolan supporters make me sick. I really can't find ANY support for him anywhere besides some of the posters on this board.

As for that fan on tv, thats exactly how I feel inside. I mean we pass on a projected 8th NBA ready point guard for a poor man's Jerome Williams???? If Thomas wanted that guy so bad, he could have easily picked Williams at 20 and taken him at 29. We all know this mystery guy won't even get more than 2 mins of playing time a game anyway.

I'm not gona argue, anymore. I'm done with this site.

I could never figure out what you guys were cheering about last season, or the seasons before that anyway. I just want my franchise back, I want the energy back im MSG that used to be there before Van Gundy gave up dealing with Dolan. I can't deal with sorry-ass product the Knicks have been putting on the floor since 2001, and as a diehard fan from the early 90s, I'm not gonna take it.

Peace, and best of luck next season. I'll be on selltheknicks.com with hundreds of other pissed off fans that feel the same.

Next season, keep waiting
It's getting harder and harder to support Isiah. As specially when every one seems to want his head. Truthfully I was at work and missed the draft but I read about it. I don't really have an explanation for the guy he drafted. I know we have a lot of guards and I don't think Zek was looking to get another guard. But be honest. The real beef is the Eddie Curry trade. That kid Zek skipped over is probably not really going to do ish for his first few years any way. Which is why I had very little interest in the draft this year. We traded a way the #2 pick so the hell with it. I don't really think Zek would intentionally do anything really stupid because this time it's his ass on the line.

It's amazing how there are so many experts in these posts. Honestly, does anybody here have a clue as to what kind of player this guy from South Carolina is? How about the kid from Temple? How many people in here worked either one of these guys out?
It's ironic that Isiah is getting ripped for picking a guy people compare to Dennis Rodman when the Rodman pick was ripped when it was made! The Scottie Pippen pick was also ripped. The point is not many fans (like us) have a clue as to what kind of player a guy is gonna be until he suits up.
You can say what you want about Dolan, the Knicks had talent on the court. I'm not a big Ranger fan, but who wouldn't have hired Glen Sather, the architect of the once mighty Edmonton Oilers?
Let's face it, the players have to play to their abilities in order for the franchise to be successful. That and the coaches have to get the most out of the players they have, and that didn't happen. Until it does, what Dolan does or does not do will not matter a bit. I don't know that much about the guy, actually I've learned some things about him here, and they were not positive. But to blame him for the demise of the Knicks is ridiculous.
And please don't invoke the name of Jeff Van Gundy in this at all. He deserted the Knicks when things got tough, not what I look for in a leader. It's OK, though, he's getting his just due in Houston. I bet Orlando and Toronto look real good to Tracy McGrady right now.
