Really Stern? really? First the new technical rules and now this?
Grousbeck: NBA fines for Rondo headband
Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck, during a Monday morning appearance on WAAF's Hill-Man in the Morning Show, said that C's point guard Rajon Rondo has stopped wearing his headband this season after the NBA threatened to fine him for sporting the league's logo upside-down.
"Heís not going to have it on. He used to wear it upside-down, as a real connoisseur would know and Iím sure you noticed, he had an upside-down logo, turning the NBA upside-down. And they wonít let him do it anymore. They said they were going to fine him for that," said Grousbeck. "So he said, 'To heck with you, Iím not going to fine it at all.' Thatís the Rondo headband situation for you connoisseurs of menís accessories."
Grousbeck also discussed the state of the Celtics entering the season, as well as his feelings about the Heat, LeBron James and basketball commentator Jeff Van Gundy. To listen to the interview, click here. To read more of his comments, click here.
