This probably has to do with the fact that if you hold a copyright and it is registered you can force the government to prevent importation of goods in violation of your copyright. I assume this is the sector of ICE handling it.
they also took down mad music sites....
And i thought the homeland security was created so they can invade your house if they think you're a terrorist..
