Landry was a beast tonight! I also think Anthony Carter was the spark that turned the game in our favor though...I loved his intensity. I wish we could keep that defensive intensity up consistently. I applaud D'Antoni's (yes I put the D back in there after that showing) coaching tonight. He stayed on the refs and stayed on his players and got on guys when they weren't putting in a good defensive effort.

Overall great win though.... Hopefully this win will give us some confidence to go on a little run here against Utah then Dallas.

PLUS, CHI has been through the playoffs together already, while this is MIA's first go at it (like us). AND, let's not forget Thibby vs D'antoni isn;t fair for us.

SO, who cares if we finish with the 7th seed. BRING ON THE HEAT!
Don't forget that the Heat don't have a center or any inside scoring players.

Safe to say Mike D had this team primed and ready to cut heads. Whatever he said to em it definitely got across. The fact it was almost like a home game helped as well.

Amare played like the MVP he is. He owned Horford and Smith in this one.

Fields was key to this win also. He played hard-nosed and consistently suffocating D on J.Johnson. He also made big shots.

Bad news: The Sixers won tnite also.

We need another victory tomorrow. Melo needs to bring his A-game..

    Go Knicks..
Crazy how whenever we have good defensive games, the one constant observation -- from pretty much every faction of KO --,

    "love that HUSTLE"

"that's the type of defensive EFFORT I like to see"

"we just need to see those boxing outs and going for rebounds and we are GOLD"

A first round vs MIA has so much juice, too.

I mean, the implications and limelight if that series goes down....

And the unfathomable magnitude of us gunning them down...

    WOW.

i wouldn't mind seeing Miami in the playoffs Miami is so lost right now they don't even know if there coming or going ....heard players were crying in the locker room just imagine if Mr. big shot took the final shot against them in the playoffs to send them home i would give anything just to be in the heat locker room to see the so called "heatles" like the little b*tches they are

When Amare plays defense he is easily a top 10 player in the league.

PLUS... we would at least TIRE Miami a bit. If the Heat get to play PHI, while CHI battles NY... They sweep the Sixers and sit back and wait for CHI-NY to go 6 or 7 games.

Make MIA go through NY AND CHI just to get to the Conf. Finals. NO WAY they advance if that's their road.

If we beat the HEAT... that would make the last 10 years worth while.

Yeah it would. Oh God, wouldn't it!? Looks like it could very well be our match up. Might have to edit my thread about the remainder of the season.

As long as we don't face the Cavs we should win a few games in the playoffs. Thank god we don't have to worry about that matchup.

Great win for the Knicks tonight. One thing is for sure; we can compete with the really good teams.

I see a lot of people talking about the 7th seed & the Heat. Not me. I want the Magic & the 5th seed. Play tough against Dwight Howard, and Orlando aint beating us come playoff time. Also, lets not forget, the Hawks have the ability to upset one of the top 3 seeds out of the 6th seed. They took Boston to 7 games & came up short. Tonight wasn't even half way close to the best of the Atlanta Hawks.

4 games back of the 5 seed & only 3 back in the loss column. Win tomorrow against the Jazz, get hot against Memphis & Dallas; & we could be 1-2 games back of ATL before you know it.
