Like I said before you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette. Watch out for this team in the playoffs....

Are u kidding me? the best season Gallo had as a Knick was this season,
Gallo was applying himself at scoring inside & outside, and getting to the
foul line two or more times a game. Plus adding havoc on the defensive-end.

Wilson Chandler worked on his handle and his stop in motion jump-shot
to be deadly from 15 to 20 feet. And Will's defense on the peremeter or
in the paint is missing misserably.
I would rather have both Gallo & Chandler over "Big Name" Carmelo any
day of the week. Especially for the postseason games where Melo is a
    failure at.

The Denver Nuggets got over like a fat-rat in a cheese-factory getting
4 young long-term winning players to become a 2nd round postseason
team along with Portland, Thunder, Lakers, and Spurs.
Denver would have no wins over those 4 playoff teams in a series with Carmelo.

The Knicks couldve went 6 to 7 games in a series with the Bulls and Miami
with bum-coach Dantoni with the roster we started the season with.
Having Carmelo mean SWEEP or 5 game series vs any of the four top
playoff teams in the EC. Billups need better defense from his Bigmen to
    win a series.
Carmelo wants 32+ minutes in a postseason game, he will have to defend
players like Deng/Lebron/Turk/or Pierce, who will all score bigtime on
Carmelo in the 4th qtr. in a series.

We shouldve waited until the offseason to see how much Melo wanted
to become a contender with Amare.

Your post is based on some assumptions

You are assuming we could have just grabbed Melo in the off-season.... He would have been a free-agent with other suiters..

You are assuming our Knicks would have made the playoffs with Gallo and crew... We have already seen what **** and crew can do... Nothin.... Ty Lawson is the little engine making Denver go...

You are assuming our Big Three of STAT/MELO/Billups won't learn to play as a unit. Its only been a couple of weeks since the trade. Our Big Three has playoff/championship MVP experience that will serve us well during the playoffs. Stay tuned until then....

We are in the best shape we have been in a DECADE
