Gary Payton is a crybaby!

Gary Payton gets traded to Boston and is causing a fuss. He said he would retire before reporting to practice. What a baby this guy is. I know that he's 36 and wants a chance to play in the NBA finals again, but c'mon. He should be happy that teams are willing to take him on after his performance in the playoffs, he flat out played poorly.

The Celtics are a team rebuilding, but they do have a couple of really talented players on that squad (Pierce and Davis). A decent point guard would be key to making those guys blow up. I think he could mesh in well with those two players and help develop point guard, Marcus Banks.

Payton is a crybaby, he should show respect for the game and deal with the situation before him. He complained about his situation in L.A. and he has the nerve to complain about playing in the East, where he would probably do better, considering his game is on the decline. What a sucker, retire and do the game of basketball a favor.

Gary used to be one of my fav players b4 he clapped on LA in chase for the trophy. I really didn't like him on that team. But after his last Boston antics I've lost the respect for that guy. BAD ATTITUDE, noin more. Too pity for Gary, too pity for him. I thought he was a real fighter like Iverson, a guy with a big heart and he prooved me wrong.
Gary, go on retire and never show up on the court cuz you're whinnin beeaouch not a basketball player.

Secrets out everyone!! Apparently in the NBA when you don't like where you play, and you get traded just don't show up for your physical. Then you can whine like a b**ch and tell everyone how important you used to be. Then rant that the team that traded you didn't respect you (even though when you were on that team all you did was tell everyone you wanted out.) Spreewell got suspended and lost almost two years of his NBA life. Payton should be no different. Anyone that disagrees with, here's my personal challenge to you...Go to your job, I don't care if your a pizza guy, doctor or a porn star. Try holding out like Payton and see if your employed the next day, or if the security fellas aren't dropping a box of things out to the curb for ya!. Just a thought.

You are correct, I do know my stuff, but you're wrong that he (Marcus Banks) is with the Lakers. Because Payton didn't show up for his physical exam last week in Boston, the trade was reconfigured. Banks ended up staying in Boston, do your homework, and you'll see.

Well whatever that may be correct but still that statement would be false seeing as though even if Payton were to go to Boston, he could NOT mesh in well with Banks seeing as though he would have been involved in the deal.

Who knows? Overall his attitude sucks. His future teamates would bare resentment towards him. He has to make it up to the Celtics by having a strong season, and making the team better in general. I could see the Celtics shopping him to some of the teams that Payton said himself, he would like to play for.
Timberwolves, no way, they're set with the PG position, so are the Warriors. Houston is a possibility, so are the Clippers. The Celtics in my opinion, shouldn't bend backwards for Payton and his childish behavior.

I don't think he'd play for bean town. And yes, his attitude sucks hard. Well, Pierce said he'd love to play along with Payton but it's not enough. If Payton will not retire I guess he'd end up in Clippers.They've traded a lot of their key players when clearing room for kobe so I guess they'd love to see Payton in LAC uni.
