true but seph is a far superior defender than fields.. its not even close...id like to see these guys battle it out.. but id like tmac to come back healthy and start or help td out by playing them in the backcourt together.. i think fields should backup melo.. i think he is more suited at the 3 spot

Realistically Fields will be the opening day starter at the SG. We don't have any real cap space to sign any big upgrades. I wouldn't mind bringing in a defensive minded role player like DeShawn Stevenson at the 2 so we have more depth, but he'll likely seek a multi-year contract which I doubt the Knicks will be looking to give out this summer. Grant Hill on a 1 year deal would be great if we could get him. Not sure how T-Mac has been playing after he left NY but if he's not as gimpy as he looked when we had him I wouldn't mind him either.
