yeh I agree, we got arguably the games best pure scorer, hes a stud. enough with we gave up to much and all that. If we didnt give up what we did we wouldent have him period.

I wanted to keep Fields the most. You never knew what you were gonna get with Gallo. A lot of games he didn't seem to call for the ball and didn't get it, a lot of games he'd shoot a bunch of threes whether they were going in or not, and there was some games where he took it to the basket and couldn't be stopped.

Fields showed a lot of IQ and turned out to be a GREAT pick. He could turn into one of those special late picks like Monta.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I'm gonna go against the grain and say this.

If the new cap is $70-$75 Million and we have $40 million basically invested in 2 players the Knicks have to be smart about this to not spend more than $10 million on any single player..... Honestly paying $7 to a good player should be the max.....

Unless some sort of exemptions or salary grandfather clause is added.

The problem with not giving up Gallo is that I believe I read somewhere that Carmelo was pretty close to ending up as a Net...if Carmelo was over in Jersey, we'd be PISSED even if we got Deron Williams as a consolation prize. D-Will is a good player but he's not dynamic like Melo is.
