Nyk Logo we can sign one player to a multi-year deal..and amesty him next year

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this

We can sign a player to a multi year deal... then...if we feel it is worth it to sign CP3 in 2012.... we still can. all we would have to do is amesty that player and create cap room for next year. so we dont necessarily have a disadvantage in FA.

I think it needs to be saved and used in the event STAT gets injured again. His contract is guaranteed so this "get out of jail free" card is very valuable.

TR1LL1ON's post couldn't have said it any better, there's no reason to use the amnesty right now, it should be saved for in case Amare ever gets seriously injured.

The Amnesty card is a really good ace to have up the sleave. It would be a bit of a waste to use it on anything other than a big long-term contract that gets injured.

Maybe they'll sign Caron Butler to a deal and then deal him away as part of a package for CP3
