I just hope he's a good compliment to our team. I think he's going to be another TD (a keeper) ...Hope he's a quick NBA learner

Watching the first hour of the MSG training camp special.
First off, Tyson Chandler is making a strong bid for coach of the year. It is just amazing to watch how much he is coaching the rest of the team on defense, especially with regards to communicating on the floor.
Second, Shumpert is just totally hilarious. I just love this kid's sense of humor. I can totally see the rest of the team taking him under their wing as a little brother. And he clearly is a high IQ and character guy, just like Fields.
Getting real excited in a way I haven't felt since 1999.
NYK and MSG have done ****ed up this time, there is no online stream of the training camp, so every Knicks fan from outside US can watch it...
They'll have replays on, no worries man.
I_am_Iman: Lol I apologize for shooting a layup on the break haha. Thas the last time...next time I'll be clear for takeoff. I was too excited to think.
He played good today, but he's right he should have dunked it when he got a clear path.
Exactamundo. It's no mystery that this would have a good chance of happening, as this precise situation:
quality, very respected, defensively-committed and passionate player coming to a talented team of athletically able, yet defensively lax players and transforming the entire culture of defense of the players on the floor, especially younger stars.
Is textbook.
Amazing to see it already manifesting on the court for us.
Yea and he (chandler) has a newly earned ring so when he speaks everyone has to respect it, even the coach.

Latrell Sprewell 2.0
And IMAN SHUMPERT is gonna LIGHT the GARDEN on FIRE!!!!!!!
Starting 2nite!!!!!
BTW, much love to the Sprewell 2.0 comment, I do not think it was about a particular on-court skill set. It was about playing with PASSION.
And do not forget about his alter-ego:
IMAM SHUMPERT
playing in the MECCA of basketball.
Not just Baron Davis, but the whole team should grow beards this season.
It will build esprit de corpes and scare the living daylights out of opponents.
I love that comparison bro...I think this year hes gonna be a little inconsistent but eventually hes gonna be one of the better shooting guards in the NBA. With all the pain and suffering we endured during the past 10 years we finally have made it back to the top and mother**** whatever teams we gotta go through
Wow, that would be terrible, but i haven't seen a 6'5 guard with this kind of lateral movement since D-wade.His hops look of the charts, that's good but i hope he learns that u can't out jump everyone early in his career, and keeps working on his mid range jumper. After seeing him pre-season he needs to work on shot selection, and he'll be great.PS he is not a PG, his scoring looks like his strong point, and i think he could learn a lot from Melo.
So is it safe so say the Shump Trucks already done enough to get his jersey retired at MSG?
