Shumpert reminds me of Rondo with a better shot. This guy can play. He might fall in love with the jumpshot but once he hits it the confidence will soar and he will start driving and DUNKING on people which we have yet to see.

Douglas will be douglas, hitting three's but missing many shots, not doing much with the passing ans missing cutters and open men. He missed Chandler ten times last game when he was open and is so bad at passing in transition.

Bibby just has to hit the open shot. His passing is better than I thought. As long as he plays decent defense and hits the open shot, then he should be good.

Fields will improve. He looked really good, especially on defense in the last game. I think he had a couple steals and a bunch of rebounds. He isn't shooting to much but is making good choices on offense.
Fields would be the X factor if Shumpert wasn't on the team.

Shumpert is the x factor because he can be our sixth man. He can play the point and the 2 guard spot and make a difference guarding anyone in the league. He played well against D Will for a rookie.

Default I voted for The Shumpert

but I agree that The Fields will also step it up, and I am vengeful and wrathful that he has zero votes on this poll.

Careful or I will be sickin' The Marija Kero on you doubters.....

    I actually picked Bibby.

A veteran like him is going to come through in a fast-paced 3-point heavy system like this one.

On the offensive-end it will be the improve co-exist tandem of TD & Fields....
on the offensive-end from a single-guard it should (supposed to) be Baron Davis.

I understand your point and mean no disrespect but the stats from last year Davis was the highest scorer even though he did not play in many games. I would think Shumpert out of all of them would be the highest, but, I would not be surprised by the end of the season Davis will give us some good numbers from the point. Either way it is so nice to be excited about Knicks Basketball once again.

my bad dude, no disrespect intended.

I think you actually missed my point but there was no need for me to be so sarcastic. I bolded the date that I made this thread because at that point the Baron Davis signing was not official yet, which is why i left him out of the poll.

But Davis will easily have a bigger impact then Douglas and Bibby. If Fields could ever learn to play 2 halfs like the 1st half he played last night then I'd consider him a respectable choice here, too many "if's" though.

None of the guards have a chance to compete with Baron. Not only can Baron score but if hes not a playmaker then hes real damn close. He'll get assists and points, Douglas cant even spell assists. Bibby will be inconsistent, Shumpert has the best chance of making an as big or bigger impact then Baron but i wouldnt count on it unless baron is old n washed up, flabby n sick

Landry Fields is going to turn into Joe Johnson, under Mike Woodson.
