The New York Knicks have claimed guard Jeremy Lin off of waivers, according to league sources.
Lin was released Sunday by the Houston Rockets to make roster room for Houston's signing of Samuel Dalembert.
The Rockets had claimed Lin off waivers after he was released by the Golden State Warriors, who had to let him go to create the requisite salary-cap space for a four-year offer sheet worth nearly $43 million to then-restricted DeAndre Jordan that was matched by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Lin is a Bay Area native who played in 29 games last season as a rookie with the Warriors, becoming the NBA's first Asian-American since 1947.
The Knicks, who last week claimed sharpshooter Steve Novak off waivers, needed another guard after rookie Iman Shumpert suffered a knee injury in New York's Christmas Day win over Boston. New York is also still waiting for the recently signed Baron Davis' back to heal sufficiently to thrust him into the starting lineup.

So what do you guys think about this guy. I saw a few videos but honestly dont know what to expect...

Well, he is a smart dude. Hopefully, we will see that in his game...D'Ant mainly wants someone that can run the floor with energy and be able to dish the ball to the open man. Not much will be asked of him. However, if he has a good long ball shot and decent field vision...he can basically write his own ticket since we are physically hurting at the PG position. If he comes in here with focus and understanding of his job he'll be a solid pickup.

Good feeling about Lin

...granted based only on the tape of his summer league performance.

Still very quick, seems to have a good basketball IQ and passing skills, plays some defense. What is not to like, aside from lack of experience?
