Novak for Jordan Hill
re-rout Hill for a couple 2nd rounders
We would have just Ray and Shump on the books 3 years from now type of cap space that would allow us to build a dynasty
Knicks trade: Amare Stoudemire & Iman Shumpert
for
Atlant's Josh Smith, Jeff Teague, ZaZa Pachulia, Mike Scott, 2013 First Round Pick

Stay competitive, get rid of Amare for value, get one of the best big men prospects and get a first round potentially #1pick to hopefully land Shabazz Mohammed.
I'd do this trade but minus Shumpert. I'd rather take Villanueva's contract back from Detroit instead of getting rid of a guy who can be a top 5 NBA player one day.
Knicks recieve
Andre Drummond
Corey Maggette
Charlie Villanueva
2013 1st round pick
Pistons recieve
Amar'e Stoudemire
Kurt Thomas
Chris Copeland
2014 2nd round pick
Knicks shed the Amare contract, have young talent to build around in Shumpert, Drummond, and the first rounder after the Melo/Tyson era, and say competitive. A twin towers lineup with Tyson and Drummond at C and PF would be awesome as well. Drummond will learn a lot from Camby and Tyson.
Pistons add a star to sell tickets and make some noise, a secondary scoring option to Greg Monroe, and they get rid of the Charlie Villanueva contract.
makes sense for both teams.
I'll be pissed if Knicks even entertain trading Shumpert. Shump, Melo, and Tyson should be untouchable unless it's an amazing deal
cant trade novak either, hes valuable in spacing the floor for melo
Untouchable players for the Knicks. Anyone else is up for grabs in my opinion.
