    Default The Bigger Picture

The Knicks will never be close to contending for an NBA Championship as long as James Dolan is the owner of the team.

He does not have a basketball mind running his basketball team. If he just sits back and doesn't worry about big names and over hyped commodities, i.e. Mike D'Antoni, and let a real General Manager or President of Basketball Operations run this team and build a team the way it should be built we will never be good.

Dolan is running this franchise into the ground while making a fortune off of them. We have a great foundation in Anthony, Stoudemire, Chandler and Shumpert and all we need to do is fill in this team with legit role players and a coach who can make it work. It doesn't have to be Phil Jackson, it can be an unknown coach who has a great track record as an assistant. Scott Brooks, Tom Thibodeu guys like that should be given a chance.

Dolan is all about the headlines but all we do is make a big splash in the off season and get **** on all year long by the media because as long as Dolan's bank account is increasing per game he's fine.

I really think fans who attend games should begin to boycott games and not tune into MSG to watch games. Send this muthafcuker a message that this isn't what we want.

Dolan should really sell this team, unlikely as it may be I really hope he just wakes up one day and decides he doesn't want a part of this. I want the media to harass him every waking moment of his life til he folds and just puts the team up for sale. Donald Trump will jump at the opportunity to buy the Knicks, hell even if the team was publicly owned like the Green Bay Packers it'd be even better.

James Dolan is a plague and is making me hate watching basketball. I watch every other team and see what we should be. He's a horrible owner, hired a horrible coach, made a horrible decision by not keeping our best GM ever and will continue to be horrible until the day he dies

    end rant

Or a certain player wearing No 7. Let's face it we were much better before the trade. The man should just have led Donnie get things done. Another decade of being the biggest koke in the league is ahead of us.

you are an idiot as bad as we are now, we were only 2 games above .500 before the trade. No one we let go is as good as the players we have

    Carmelo Anthony
    Tyson Chandler

are the 2 guys we essential got because of the trade

    Iman Shumpert
    Josh Harrellson

we our 2 draft picks which fit great with STAT, CA7 and TC6

    So essentially

Anthony, Chandler, Shumpert and Harrellson>>>>Gallinari, Chandler, Mozgov and Felton

D'Antoni cant adjust to personnel and James Dolan only hired him because of name value. What coach cant adjust his "system" to his current players.

Blame Melo all you want, he's our best player and was well worth the trade

We were 28-26 the day the trade was made.

This is about sentiment and sentiment only. Two of the players involved in the trade are no longer with Denver, and Denver hasn't skipped a beat. I'm inclined to look at the coach and give him the nod for their success.

Denver was always at the top of the NBA in points in the paint, and free throws. It's George Karl's preferred style of basketball.

I guess before the trade we were at least 2 games above .500? Is that what you're saying?

We are 21-30 after the trade. So technically he's right. We were better. You are what your record says you are.

I swear I would sell my soul if it meant Dolan would sell this team. No joke.

It can all be summed up by the following:

Denver got better after the trade.

The Knicks got worse after the trade.

Denver got a few young players that are still improving (with Wilson Chandler to rejoin the team in March). So they are going to keep getting better just based on the player we gave them.

Denver still has our first round draft pick for 2014 to bring in another good player.

Only an idiot wouldn't admit that Denver killed us in that trade!

And that doesn't even mention that we could have just used Eddy Curry's cap space to add Chandler to that old squad (perhaps having to move Turiaf the way we did) and still had Randolph as a trade asset.

Dumbest trade in the history of the NBA! It was obvious before the trade, but that some people can't even admit it now when a dead man should be able to see it suggests that some people are in extreme denial and refuse to admit they were wrong.
