Nyk Logo O.K. Real Knicks Talk

Do not think this team is better without Stat & Melo....6 to 8 of our players
shouldve been taught to gell in a 5-man lineup without Melo, Stat, and Tyson.
And it dont take 25 games to do this....incompetence sent Lin & Jordan to
the D.League to only bring them back last week.

The Knicks are on a 3 game winning streak thanks to the performance of PG-Jeremy Lin....
Lin's offense-attack have Knicks oponents sweating on defense, plus Lin has
gain the confidence (luv) of all his teammates.

No KO member should get the Knicks 3 wins mixed with the so-call Dantoni-system.
This is "Jeremy Lin-system" with a BIG-Center Tyson Chandler....
do not get it mixed-up with Steve Nash system with PF.
There will be several NBA commentators & writers promoting Dantoni again
for the skills of a player.

The Knicks won their last two games using a 7-man rotation, and a 8-man rotation....
    Dantoni havnt change.

The Knicks headcoach is finally doing something that shouldve been done
when he receive the Knicks 2011-12 schedule.....
by developing a 6-man lineup of bench players to gell together as a unit.
It took 25 games to finally see the Knicks put a bench-lineup on the court in
the 2nd quarter of a game....when every team in the NBA were developing a
bench-lineup in the 2nd quarter before their 10th game of this close 66 game season.

To prevent injuries how many players in a roster should get decent
playingtime when u have 3-games in 4 days?
I would like for everyone to answer the question?

I'm not even a MDA supporter but part of the reason this team is playing well now is because Lin is a competent play making PG thats by far the biggest problem the Knicks had. Offensively MDA's system was never broken it was the lack of personnel, there's a reason play making PG's thrive in this coach's system any smart playmaking PG would have a field day for MDA.

Being a Lakers fan I have to excuse your response for lack of memory....
In 2006-7 MDA's Phoenix Suns beat the Lakers in a playoff series,
and Kobe Bryant ask to be traded, plus Kobe called Bynum a soft punk.
    Do u recall

Steve Nash had 50 win seasonsss in Dallas

Well we have all gone on D'antoni's many flaws a few times. I will say this the team now looks like they will make the playoffs. Its crazy how Lin and Jerome Jordan went to the D-League and whooped the D-League players butts before the knicks decided to see what they had out of either of them. I also think Jerome Jordan should get some burn because a lot of people forget as dominant as Tyson is he goes even harder when he knows he has a decent sub behind him in case he gets into foul trouble.

Novak is nice too. He might have taken TD's job to come in with instant scoring....

I'm going to sound like a dreamer, or at the worst, a socialist, but I believe the 9-10 man rotation with about 20~30 minutes apiece. I think the numbers worked out that a player must play a minimum of 18 minutes to be considered effective? (I'm not a big fan of 40+ minutes from someone unless they were close to beating Wilt Chamberlain's 100.)

The difficulty in that is that the team must already know how to adjust to various line-ups because the goal is to keep players fresh and keep opponents off-balance.

Yeah, that's the reason why PF-Duncan got all those Championship Rings.

I always wondered how long Stat wouldve played at center during the time
when Shaq was with the Lakers, Webber & Divac were on the Kings, and PF-
Rasheed Wallace had a power house in Portland.

we winning, and im seeing more and more dantoni hate threads.....
i told you guys before, it took a while for th heat to start winning....all they needed was time to gel. everyone was calling for coach spo to get fired, the even called for pat rilery to come out of office. the heat players said the same thing the knicks players are saying now.....w eneed time to gel, we have a few setbacks, expectations are high....its not gonna happen overnight. we are still one or 2 pieces away from being a comlete team .

I say we're winning because we're without Stoudemire and Anthony.

I'll get burned for this, but I don't care. We're playing much better without them and every single player on our roster maximizes his effort.

You're saying it's only 2 games, I say it's by far the best 2 games we've played all season.

I'm already afraid of the day these 2 will return and we'll look like **** again and get outhustled by 0.300 teams......

D'Antoni shouldn't break this team up right now, let em play as long as they can. Melo will be out for another 10 days or so wich is good and Stoudemire should stay in Florida or come off the bench when he returns.

First of all we beat the bottom teams Nets, Jazz and Wizards.

If LIN is as good as he appears to be then our team should only excel with Melo and Amare.

What has changed is the effort and hustle with what is on the court. I am relying on Chandler and Dantonio to call any players out who do not put the effort on both sides of the ball ......

The pick and roll to Chandler has worked perfectly....The same pick and roll to Jeffries does not result in the amount of baskets it should. Amare would put in 9/10. Amare is only an issue on defense but I think Amare will adjust.

Melo is the issue in regard to his conditioning....BUT with LIN there maybe Melo can get into a flow rather then looking to get all Knicks points...

I do believe with Dantonio and LIN that the starting 5 of
    LIN
    Fields
    Melo
    Stat
    Chandler

    is an NBA contender.....

    Bench just got strong......
    SHUMP
    Jeffries
    Novak
    Davis
    Josh

    odd men out

    walker
    jordan
    TD

This is not true. Boris Diaw and Kurt Thomas were the Centers for the Suns when they were contenders. Amare would play C within the rotations but he wasn't the full-time Center. He always played well within the system with a Center that could hit an outside shot (i.e. facilitate the spacing) and/or defend and rebound (i.e. counter his deficiencies).

I just hope antoni can keep them hustling, and moving the ball, once our 2 stars return.Like iv'e been saying all season, NO TRADES!Give them time to gel, Lin has been a godsend, i just hope he doesn't start to defer to our 2 stars, when they feel the need to iso, 6 straight times. This is antonis finally chance, he has his PG, no more excuses, we have everything we need, let's get something done.
