Agree with you!

Though we should keep two factors in mind before we break out in unconditional euphoria :smokin:

1) Give them time, there have been so many roster changes in the last couple of weeks and no real training camp and basically no preseason. The season might be too short to get everything and everyone 100% synchronized this year......but we might grab first seed next season and go to the Finals if everyone stays healthy and sticks around.

2) The LIn situation is too good to be true, I really don't want to be sceptical, but it's still very early in Jeremy's career. Right now his numbers and performances are unreal and while the talent is certainly there and I see no reason why he should turn into a bust all of a sudden....we still have to wait and see how his situation turns out when the first hype is over and everyday business kicks in for him and our opponents.
To quote Jeremy: "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst".

I really think we have a good team right now and we can make a good run in the not too distant future.

It's just a bit early to celebrate now, but the potential is there! (I think though that 90% of our success depends on Lin) Without him we were really bad, with him running the show (and the others of course) we look like a legit contender now.

I tell you something, I'll be the first one teared up when we win a championship, it might not happen this year though. I don't know at this point, but I have faith in this team.

you have faith in no one bro im sorry. for the past month you shit talked this team so much that i needed a break from this site at one point. now that they're winning you decide to change your mind? you were quiggle for a good amount of time on this site

The Knicks losing to the bottom feeders of the NBA proves that this team is far from being eligible for a championship.

As a Laker fan trust me it doesn't during the Lakers last two ring we regularly overlooked bad teams like the Bobcats, the Bucks, the Clippers at the time, and Philly at the time and would lose. This is what is called a trap game where you overlook you opponent but it's not a sign of lack of a championship caliber team.

It happens way too much to the Knicks. They give enough terrible teams confidence.

The NFL is more of a crapshoot than the NBA. In football all it takes is a team to have a good run to win a superbowl. In basketball if a team has trouble beating terrible teams in the regular season they most likely won't make the playoffs or they'll get exposed in the playoffs. That's why it's so rare for a team to do what the '99 Knicks did when they went on that magical run to the NBA Finals.

BALL DON'T LIE
People around here panic too early after every loss. I understand that we SHOULD have won against that team but every good team loses once in a while, even to the shittiest teams.

The Thunder lost to the Kings recently, whom the Knicks crushed in our last game. And as Red shows above, the Heat lost to Milwaukee twice!

We actually played pretty decent ball except for that 13-point 1st quarter. But overall it was a close game and the Knicks were in striking distance to win the game. Shots were just not falling.

This is a new more complete Knicks team even though Melo wasn't playing tonight those other losses to the cavs and cats don't mean much besides in the standings. I'm sure the Knicks just over looked New Orleans plus Lin and the rest of the role players were bound to have a bad game.

I wouldn't put to much emphasis in this loss now if the team is completely healthy and stuff like this keeps happening then I'd be alarmed.

Still angry at me?

To be honest, the team was playing horrible prior to Lin's emergence and Melo's and Amare's absence.

We still look doubtful now when Lin is on the bench.

It's not like my negativity wasn't justified, but I have decided to put that aside and be positive now and remain positive for the rest of the season!

The negativity is a thing of the past and I don't care about it anymore, it's left behind.

we got the pieces... i mean it the knick's lineup looks like a lineup that can win it all sort of now. Then when the injured come back, what team is deeper and has more skilled players on their roster now?

Bulls are a new version of the 90's version Knicks. One great player and a bunch of good players who play defense well to make up for their lack of offensive skills...... (Blasphemy but its true)

The Heat who lack any form of big man (Joel Anthony HA) are a 2.5 stars and scrubs squad.

and the two great players thunder (who if people think Melo is selfish they havent seen westbrook get mad and forget he is the PG) then Ibaka and Harden who also are nice but not great.

In the playoffs can these teams beat the knicks 4-7 games. That is the question....

also right now teams are getting 10-20 points on the knicks due to lin having to sit and the knicks forcing SG's to play point. Once Baron comes in that weakness is gone. Amare (Who has been scoring consistently in the 20's.....idk how you guys dismiss that like its nothing) has a Jorts back he will get better too since jorts plays defense and offensively forces at least one Big to play him on the perimeter.

The knicks shouldn't say it to jinx themselves but they are contenders now.

Lin, Knicks teammates stoke championship talk behind Jeremy?s big game

EXTRA! EXTRA!

After Jeremy Lin?s nationally televised theatrics were over, after the point guard?s international stardom had reached yet another level, after Jason Kidd said Lin indeed looks like Steve Nash in Phoenix, Tyson Chandler soaked it all in and declared what may have become obvious by now:

Lin?s Knicks are a genuine contender for a championship this season.
Chandler should know best, having helped the Mavericks to a title eight months ago. Chandler faced Dallas during the Knicks? 104-97 victory in yesterday?s thrilling Garden matinee, and said he feels his new club is championship-caliber with Lin?s fairy tale, J.R. Smith?s arrival and Carmelo Anthony?s grand return to Linsanity scheduled tonight against the Nets.

This great Linderella story is becoming a great basketball story.
Lin burned the defending champions with 28 points, 14 assists and five steals. Lin got the better of 6-foot-7 defensive specialist Shawn Marion in the fourth quarter and catapulted the Knicks to the season?s most sensational victory, which should further boost their credibility across the country. The Knicks are 8-1 since Lin took command at point guard and Anthony has hardly been a part of the surge.

?I?m loving the fact that I really feel the team I?m on now can really contend,?? said Chandler, who finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. ?The additions now, we?re a full team. We?re very deep in every position. It wasn?t like that when I first came here. We have all those pieces filled now.??

If Knicks are a 7th or 8th seet playoff spot and play against the Heat for the first round of the playoffs I am pretty sure that will be one of the highest rated playoff series...

Just a little more improvement - clicking on defense.

Some effort on Defense. Improved rebounding on both sides of ball.
