Biggest mistake that the Knicks made was trading Trevor Ariza. Who would have predicted that he would become this good of a player?
completely missed the game it seems like the role players finally had a bad shooting night
Yeah your right Stat blew defense so many times, I hope he watches the tape and realizes how bad of court vision he has... But not only that it was us missing free throws and our turnovers that hurt us... I cant wait for Melo and JR to come on Sunday because one Melo is my dude and idc what you guys say he can score and he will cut down Lin's TO's and JR is another scorer and is also good
The Knicks need to put this behind them and beat Dallas. It seems like the last time that they won a home game against Dallas was when Rolando Blackman played for the Mavericks.
they made cutting off passing lanes look easy, which was magnified by us doing the opposite
does anyone know where to find **** like PPP and midrange/paint fg% game by game?
When you fall behind early, you have to gain ground with offense.
The Knicks couldn't bring it with offense tonight, because their roleplayers finally started missing some shots. Fields was dreadful in particular.
And you can't blame this one on STAT, he played well, especially on the boards. This one is on Turnovers (Lin) and the inability to hit a single shot from downtown...
guys calm down Ariza is a good defender with size and speed as a SG/SF. His man was walker who is streaky. As soon as he figured out walker was a no show he simply helped defend the entire night while the rest of his team played zone. This game was a perfect example of why the knicks wanted JR Smith since his ability to shoot would of been great alongside a player like Melo who can also create shots for himself. that would of opened up the lane for guys like Amare, Lin, Fields, and shump. It also would of game Chandler a 1 on 1 chance to get rebounds.
+ positives of the night
Amare was trying on defense guys and he was fighting for rebounds.
- Negative of the night
The knicks had to many turnovers
the knicks missed too many free throws
A lot of you might not talk about this here a lot but half the knicks offense is slashing in the paint trying to get the calls so they can shoot free throws..... its a smart counter measure for the streaky shooting the team has had all year. Today if the knicks mad those Free throw shots they would of won the game.
Its the damn Catch 22 the knicks have always had. They need the 3 to go down to open the lanes. Without an outside threat defenses can play zone which clogs up the the knicks slashing.
Lin's TO are to much and I felt the refs could of gave him a call when the Hornets we're abusing him trying to get turnovers. However like always Refs treat away teams like home teams when they play at MSG.....
