You guys are funny. We are going to an ISO system and depends on our 2 bums to carry the team. They suck a dikk this year. We will not make the playoff. Losing streak starts again today.

Calm down, our to stars will be fine, it's kinda hard to get a rhythm going, when you don't get the ball 7 straight possessions, touch it once, then don't see it for another 7 possessions, get my point.Hopefully this coach will actually run some plays to keep them involved the whole game, and everything else will fall into place.
I think the theory behind the 8-9 man rotation was that chemistry would develop faster as the players got acquainted with playing alongside the same faces game in game out. That didn't exactly work out minus a few games where Anthony and Stoudamire were missing.
You said Davis is an offensive half court PG but half-court offence is exactly what we're going to see with Woodson. Also it's exactly what we'll witness in the playoffs by necessity as opponent's defences pick up. I personally trust Davis far more than Lin in that sort of environment. Lin's still learning and Woodson's comments re Lin indicate that he is fully aware that this player should be treated as nothing more than a talent.
We have a good bench which needs to be fully utilised, particularly in games like the Portland game, where the Knicks have developed an early substantial lead. This will alleviate fatigue and the risk of injury from the starters.
I saw Woodson making many interventions last game, even at times when the Knicks were 30+ points ahead. I liked that he is leaving nothing to chance but let's not fool ourselves; we were playing a team that was disintegrating faster than the Knicks. The real tests lie ahead. Woodson did a good job with the Hawks, and considering the players he has at his disposal this time around, there is no reason for him not to do well with the Knicks. We will not have to wait long to find out.
I'm wondering what people think the outcome of the Knicks Blazers game would have been like if D'Ant was coaching it.
I saw plenty of defense and subs in Woody's handling, And Stat and Mello were both playing their games in the post and not around the 3 point line.
So what would the game plan be if the offensive genius was coaching? lol
Alan Hahn @alanhahn
RT @IanBegley: Woody told Lin hes still starting: 'He said that’s not going 2 change..told me not 2 worry about anything just play my game.'
just so people are aware.
In 4 seasons there was never any effort into gellin 2 or 3 bench players as a bench-Tandem or bench-Trio....and this hectic 66 game schedule EXPOSED Dantoni's flawed coaching talents.
In the regular season Lin & Fields should start the remaining games to build their confidence....in the postseason is a different story.
In the Blazers game coach Woodson did well by playing 10 player in the first half, and only playing the starters 6 minutes in the 2nd half of the game.
This is what NBA analyst, writers, and commentators of the Knicks vs Blazer game are not mentioning. The last blowout game the Knicks had I believe vs Cleveland, Dantoni put the Starters in an already won game with 5 minutes left in the game.
If Lin ever get bench for BD, i can guarantee you Woody would be gone by then end of the season. There is simply TOO MUCH financial reasons to play Lin unless he really does crash and burn. Everyone been dissing on Lin and his poor performance, beside Miami his numbers are stellar for a rookie even against good defensive teams.
good points you have there.
We have half court players that can run fast break so its not like we are the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat. Melo thrives more in the half court sets and down low in the post and Amare is beast when he doesn't have the ball so far away from the hoop.
I too belive Davis might eventually start over Lin if Lin keeps doing the stupid turnovers like falling down after driving to the hoop which he does every single game. Lin has to keep his dribble and not stop his dribble and he has to not pass it off so quickly. It is like since the MIami game he is afraid to ball handle too much.
The fast paced offense was a pipe dream and I am glad it is gone, it is not realistic unless u have a dynamic PG that is your leader leading it (steve nash) and that didnt even win a championship
I love the way people are predicting the doom of the Knicks all because of Woodson being an ISO coach.
Relax, breathe, wait for it and then comment. There's no need to get ahead of yourselves. Woodson stated several times in his interviews since taking over that he has a great respect and is thankful to MDA. Perhaps he will utilize some things that worked from MDA's offense into his own gameplan.
God you'd think these were forums for the apocalypse not a basketball team
Great post, our bench is awesome so I have no worries about them being able to keep us in games or even extend leads. Baron Shump Fields JR Jeffries Jorts all have good energy/hustle/defensive ability that is what you need from your bench.Originally Posted by Kiyaman

Baron Davis still have the same flaws he had as a young star on the Hornets....
his passes to bigmen are to damn low, plus he has always been a halfcourt
offensive PG with fair defense.
Can we use Baron Davis PG talents? Hell yeah! we need at least 20 minutes per game
from Davis veteran experience to backup PG-Lin, especially Davis is great in three guard-offense
with a defensive-Shump or a defensive-TD in the lineup.
Should Baron Davis start? No! should Baron Davis start in the 3rd quarter to start the 2nd half?
Hell yeah! on alot of our oponents with strong defensive pressure-system.
Jeremy Lin is an energy-creative PG with great IQ who is learning the ropes of NBA B.Ball
in this regular season playingtime....Lin is the Knicks starter & finisher this regular season....
Lin is not supose to be receiving 35 to 40 minutes of playintime per game within 10 different
lineups when he is learning the ropes of NBA B.ball....
If Lin is a prospect of learning, shouldnt 80% of his playingtime be in a lineup to GELL
with the most minute players on the team?
Tyson Chandler has been a great defensive PF & C in his career in the NBA averaging
28 minutes of playingtime throughout his career....always having a full 10 minutes of
great energy in the 4th quarter.
The superstar tandem of Fowards Stat & Melo are not getting any younger,
plus having both on a team with a 7.0 Tyson Chandler, shouldnt their career minutes
of playingtime be reduce to 30 minutes of playingtime? especially when u have decent
backups to use for 18 minutes of their playintime in Jefferies, Novak, Jorts, and Jordan?
plus we have enough decent guards to run a 3-guard offense transition for 6 to 8 minutes
per game?
If our bench-players cant hold down the game for 18 to 20 minutes per game for
our STARTERS -vs- half the teams in the league....then maybe we need new bench-players....
but that was not the Knicks problem in a back to back to back 66 game season,
the 8-man rotation of the same players were.
Your Thoughts???
I would still like to see Shumpert moved to the starting lineup. In a 7 game series we are going to need him for 30+ mpg guarding Rose/Wade/Rondo etc.
