What happened in Toronto last night?

Just to be sure, I re-watched the Toronto game this morning and I found no silverlining. Bad D, terrible shooting, butterfingers, weak passing, careless TOs.....

This was not the same team that came out firing on all cylinders against the Sixers just a three night ago. That team had hops. Last night's team was flat from the get-go.

So here goes my conspiracy theory: with the off-day, the whole team partied like a rock star the night before. It's ok. Boys will be boys. Just don't let it happen again.

I think they blew their load on the Sixers, and as a result came out flat.

Combine with Toronto demanding revenge from their Linsanity game-winning loss at the buzzer.

I think every team that has lost to us due to the "Linsanity" has gotten their revenge the second time they've played us.

Nets, Dallas, Toronto.

Thank goodness the only one left is Washington that will play us this season, I think, so if we lose to them, I'll pretty much know why in advance.

Hey to all

I thnk that Knicksity is right .....

We were running low of energy combine that they thought that Torondo is nothng special and out of enerything in the season and just with mentality - we are on 5 in row - will beat them.....

Plus that we need more players from bench to give things in the game. You can keep up the level when you have 5 games in 7 days without huge help...from bench

Sorry for my English . I am from greece so be patient ......

I know they blew their load. I am just not sure it's the Sixers.

Quiet Storm
A much needed loss occurred

We needed a wake up call, I think we feel teams are gonna just lay down to us, we beat the Pacers (a playoff team) twice in a week and I think we assumed Toronto could be won by accident

We got reminded that we can not take any game for granted, this loss is nullified with a win the next two games which would put us 2 games up on Mil.

1. Offesive set plays were terrible. Absolutely no PnR's for Lin-Chandlers or Lin-Stat.

2. Melo 39% shooting doesnt truly reflect his shooting. His true shooting ability of late is prob around 25-30% if you take away the layups and dunks and blockshots. And if he is our go to guy, we will end up losing more games than we can win in the future. No one paid attention to his low percentage shooting during the winning streak because the rest of the team shot well. But his terrible shooting slump will get magnified ten fold if we lose. If his shooting slump continues and he is still our offensive focus, we will never make our playoff spot.

I have heard enough of excuses for Melo; injuries, volume shooter, rhythm, MDA system was fit for his style...blah blah blah. He is held accountable for his shooting.

Something gotta change! Either he gets off court help, seeking hypnosis to get his focus back, acquire the service of motivational specialists, yoga lessons anything....i dont really care what it is but something gotta change! Albert Einstei, "Crazy is keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Why am i focus so much of Melo? Lately he has not lived up the expectation of Knicks fans as our $20-mil offensive player!

If anyone recall the Knicks game on Tuesday, where the Knicks out-played the Raptors in every stat of the game, plus outscoring the Raptors in all 4 quarters....Stat & Melo finally taking the ball to the hole on 90% of their shots winning the game by 106-87, all of the Knicks-starters rested on the bench in the 4th quarter.

The Friday night Knicks game vs the Raptors, all the Knicks players shot from the outside when lanes were open to them all game long, no player even tried to rebound, we were throwing passes to teammates that wasnt even looking, plus none of our starters paid any attention to Woodson....our "STARTERS" played Dantoni B.ball all game long....losing the first-quarter 15-25 on purpose, and losing the 3rd quarter 17-31 on purpose

In my opinion, it's been a miracle that the Knicks were able to win 5 straight games in a row at this point in the season. And, against some better teams.

So, my answer: They just had an off night. The Raptors lost to the Knicks the game before, and it was their home turf.

AND, the we beat the 76er's the other night, and they ended up beating the Celtics by 13 points.

Toronto had several games where they started off strong but couldn't close out well enough to grab a W. Right now they're up by 4 against Chicago with 4 minutes left on the clock...

The Raptors-Bulls Game Tonight...........

After getting shut out by Jeremy Lin the previous game, Jose Calderon explodes for 20 in Chicago......... Raptors force OT on Bulls on the road. (Derrick Rose didn't play, but still a very tough team to beat.)

Then in OT, in the final 20 seconds, the Raptors CHOKED at the FT line, missing 3 of 4, and the Bulls then won the game on a Luol Deng putback........... (Just think of how we won the Sixers game.....)
