Assistant Coach - yes. HC - No. I'm sticking with Woodson (and it seems like everybody else is too).
He was a great player, but a head coach should be able to communicate with ppl and as far as i remember he was not good at that . At all. In fact local media still doesnt respect him as a person.
Woodson is doing great right now, so lets see what happens in the postseason.

Why cant he come and be an assistant and get treated like royalty by knicks faithful until he retires? Then when the knicms win it all he can get a ring here as a coach.
All it will take is one small losing streak for Knicks fans to start chanting 'Fire Ewing'. As a die hard Knicks fan who's fandom began with Ewing and Oakley I hope he never coaches in NY. He deserves better than to be turned on by rattle snake like fans. But if he's a glutton for punishment, why not give him a fair shot. He should be respected enough to get an interview, that is if Woodson fails to take the team into the post season.
