melo either doesnt understand the game at that level, doesnt care, or isnt capable of willing his team in this type of situation.

Don't throw this on Melo. He was the only reason the game was even close.

The Knicks didn't lack effort last night. They just weren't sharp and didn't make smart decisions at times. Also the Bulls absolutely manhandled us on the boards. That's to be expected when you play a small lineup vs the best offensive rebounding team in the league.

As for Novak, every star player or role player has a few teams they're gonna struggle against. Chicago's a great defensive team, they made a strong effort to smother Novak. And Novak did get some open looks the past few games but the Bulls defense got in his head to an extent, they got him out of his rhythm. I expect Novak to play better tonight

dude gtfoh w your bs comparison thats not even relevant to the point i was making. yes those teams were better equipped. all i was talking about was the competitive desire of melo n comparing it to that of kobe and jordan. the bulls last night were very beatable without rose. we didnt need phil jackson or anyone else, only what we had. i had it right. **** we beat the bulls w rose on sunday. try to make some sense when you post son.

Poor excuse....if u been watching the high minutes of playingtime Woody been given to Shump, JR, Melo, and Chandler since the injuries to Stat/Lin....taking away the coaches confidence in the bench-players....show there is no plays practice during practice for players to step-up to replace Stat at PF or Lin at PG...

Was Lin given any plays to run by the coach during Lin-Sanity? Hell no, Lin wasnt given any plays to run (same as D.league) throughout his time as our starting PG.
Woody has not given our PG any type of design plays to excute with their teammates. The Knicks has been playing off of players instint on offense, and Tyson Chandler dominating skills on defense.

It took Melo playing out of his mind and the Bulls missing 4 straight fts in regulation and 2 miracle 3s by Melo for us to win by 1 point in overtime... The Bulls are just better than us.

This game really goes to show that the knicks don't have much of an offense to speak of unfortunately. The only think that happens is iso's with Melo or JR and sometimes they kick to an open man and BD running a pick and roll.

when I watch other NBA teams there is always some kind of offensive system where people are getting open shotsyet for the knicks every single point we get it seems the players fought a war to score. besides fast breaks nothing at all has come easy offensively because of no offensive game plan.

+1 Now that's funny, but Kiya is right. Now I know this is where Metro calls me Bulls fan, but our KNICKS were in no danger of winning that game last night. And yes we do need Phil and his triangle. One of reasons we got out-rebounded so badly was all the MASONS on this team and I aint talking FREE. If JR cared as much about his shooting % as his tats he would be 95% from the field. Same for Laundry and Novak is shooting flat bricks as well. Melo can't drop 40 every game esp. after the Bulls figured out Sunday he is the only scoring threat on this team. Allen Houston could come outta the stands in his wingtips and shoot better. Outside of Melo and Shump, no one on this team can get their own shot.
