New York Knicks @ Miami Heat Game 5- East 1st Round (MIA 3-1 NYK) 7PM TNT

Wtf was up with Chandler...he was playing like he got caught cheating on his lady before the game or someone slid him some big bank on the low. His mind was clearly elsewhere and he gave up some very easy baskets. Uncharacteristic of him. Other than that. ... we look liked a team that went thru alot this year.I'm looking forward to next season

blaming guys like Melo is typical of fans who are frustrated and wanna blame who the media says too
or they want to blame the guy who has never made 1 player better who is suppose to be a so called great player. blame a guy who for fact makes teams worse. blame a guy who is a career 1 and done guy. melo sucks you dont see it fine suck his nut to his first round exits every year. would be so much nicer if those exits were on another team. isaiah and dolan sure know how to run a team and this is their trade

u will never understand.
Its best for u to watch (Grander in) the Indiana Pacers vs Miami Heat series

What did you want him to do, did you watch the game, everyone else sucked.

Im eagar to what pieces NY tries to add. They're so tied up the cash so it'll be hard to add without subtracting a lot.

lol at the majority of the posters blatantly blaming Carmelo. I mean, it seemed like....no he was the only one playing hard on the knicks. And jr is like a pillow, hot or cold never consistent. I thought he was really hurting you guys with his poor shot selection. I mean he was jacking it up when he had 3 guys covering him. Jr was 3-15 shooting. I repeat 3-15. With 0ast, 0 rbs, 0 blks, 0 stls and 3 fouls. And you guys blame Carmelo?

that was my point Kiya, I get where you're coming from but he isn't the reason we lost or played bad

I'll ignore you since all you do it hate on a player with your username it shows what you signed up to do, so continue to say what you will and enough with the suck Melo's **** act that bit is tired and corny, you must be 12 or something if all you do is call people names and throw around ignorant phrases

when you're ready to discuss basketball like someone with a high iq for the game then holla at me until then hop off my dick and continue watching male on male porn

Speaking the truth.

Problems with Melo is pretty obvious. He doesn't make his team better. All this isomelonometrics kills ball movement, rhythm, the fun of the game. Man, is it ****ing tiring to see almost every possession, Melo ISOs, and his stat padding, volume chucking selfishness.

If Melo had focused on giving his other teammates touches, then that shows leadership and confidence in your teammates, which does pump them up, and make them play for you. Have ya'll ever play on a team with a ****ing ball hog? Yeah, it's not a lot of fun.

No, then I'd **** on the guys who missed, BUT I would respect Melo for doing so. He'd earn my respect for being a leader and for being unselfish.

Where was his leadership, where was the motivational speeches during timeouts? Didn't see any of it except for that silly smirk on his hitler mustached face.

Also I was cheering him on when he was passing beautifully during their blowout streak.

Junior Swish can suck a d*ck. worst game ever.
let him go to a team who wants his sorry a$$.

2012-13 KEEPERS, in order of importance:
Melo
Chandler
Lin
Shumpert
Fields
Novak
Giraffe
Harrellson
Jordan

concentrate on getting rid of STAT, free up cap space. inconsistent player,
injury prone, has gone downhill ever since Melo got here, except for a few games.
just not worth the dough. talks the talk, does not walk the walk. needs to go.
Agree, woodson has to go too.

where was the motivational speeches during halftime, were you behind the bench, no one knows what was said

his silly smirk on his hitler mustached face.... :teeth: thats funny as hell
but thats Melo he doesn't get rattled he stays cool most of time thats how he plays

I understand you wanna see him become more of a creator and he has shown flashes but you gotta admit tonight he had no real help, no one was playing defense, no one was moving and he had no choice but to try and take over, STAT wasn't even mentally there

what did you expect him to do, give up??

Agree, woodson has to go too.

I like woodson, but now I understand why Atlanta let him go. He's just not a ring-bearing coach. He might get a pass because he was short handed, but it seems like he's one of those stubborn old guys, use to the old ways.

The knicks need someone who can handle both Melo and Amare', Woodson is not him. The only one that can handle these egos is Phil. Get rid of one of these clowns and Woodson should stay.

I dont know we cant really judge what Woodson can do with a depleted roster vs Miami he deserves a shot at getting a full training camp and 82 game season

One assist altogether for two major ball handlers, Melo and JR, is not gonna win the game.
When they won game 4, they had 8 altogether....
Melo lover always argue it is because....Come on, team play win the game. No excuse.

Jared Jefferies is always credited with giving motivational speeches. He can't score worth a ****, but look at the heart, the charges he takes, the screens for Novak. Melo? All I see him do is raise his arms, "pass to me!, ME! ME! ME!"

Being a leader of the team, I expected Melo to create for his teammates, to motivate them, to boost their morale, to add to the team chemistry, know when to sacrifice (shooting, like Lebron does), and when to turn it up.

Melo ISOs so much throughout the game that he gets tired when they need him in the fourth. He's not anywhere in Lebron's league when it comes to being in shape, so he needed to adapt to that with his play.

Lebron lacks the mental toughness of Melo, and Melo lacks the athleticism of Lebron. Lebron should have called Melo, instead of the greats and asked him, "Melo, how do you not choke?" And Melo should've asked Lebron, "Lebron, what kind of crunches do yo do?"

I'll leave ya'll with some words of wisdom:

"The problem with Melo is that he dominates, not other teams, his own teammates" - GoKnicks! www.knicksonline.com

**** all ya'll, get well soon shump, davis, best of luck to you in retirement, novak, stay white, toney, GTFO, jeremy, fu for not suiting up the very least, landry, go massage your boyfriend's knee. jorts, the other white meat, bibby, thanks for showing up when it mattered. amare, go fap with your left hand you piece of ****. chandler, stay a champ. jefferies, stay 1 hundred.

its been fun guys, nice weather, i'm goinging to hop on the wagon to Oaklahoma City!!!

if it's not Phil Jackson, Wood Son deserves a full season coaching a healthy knicks squad
with a healthy true point guard, and a team who have been playing together longer than a couple months.
i believe Lin and another true PG are the missing pieces to make this squad run deep,
with another true PG/shooter to back him up. this will take the pressure off Melo to be the iso man,
and allow him to be in the flow of the offense as a passer and shooter, not just point forward.

Goran Dragic, Jerryd Bayless, Aaron Brooks, Jordan Farmar, there's a plethora of great PG's
out there, who can make the Knicks a formidable playoff team with consistent PG starting and off the bench.

i think the key is losing STAT to free up cap space, because the way it is, we can barely afford to
keep the core of this team together.

we've seen Linsanity is the key to winning without our 2 allstar superstar max paid players,
i don't think we need both of them to win big.

Melo > Stat (I agree to disagree with Kiyamon)

go Knicks.

We know what he did do. In game 1 against Miami we were no where to be found. In game 5 he left JR Smith in for 36 almost straight minutes with not a single rebound, assist , steal or block.....Do you know as a coach how much of a red flag that should be after 18 minutes....do you any more of a telling stat line then that.........He just left in and he totally sucked....why ?????

same reason Woodson has major losses with Atlanta in the playoffs....
what he does for regular season works but when its the same team 4 times in a row....he crosses his fingers and prays.

First of all: I don't think Miami are as good as we made them look in this series.

The Knicks played just so bad that the Heat looked like the next champion.

I think OKC and maybe San Antonio are better. The Clippers could push them to the limit too.

Obviously, we struggled with injuries. Let's be honest though even when Lin played against Miami in the regular season they tore us apart and game 1 was a wrap too, despite Shump playing. Davis was no loss at all, in fact Bibby played much better than him imo.

So injuries aside, his team was just not good enough to get it done against a very good but by no means unbeatable Miami team. Woodson did a poor job. I saw no adjustments at all between games. It's a do or die game on the road and we still play the same ****ty basketball we played against the Cavs or Kings in the regular season.....iso Melo...long 2 off the dribble by Smith and that's it.

We have no playbook, system or ball distributor. I'm very disappointed by both coaching staffs, the D'Antoni staff didn't do a good job with these players and the Woodson staff looked just as bad during the Playoffs.

Why did Novak play so many minutes in this series in place of Jeffries? Novak did **** all on offense but was a liability on defense. Jeffries would have been the logical choice in this series.

Our defense looked very bad in all games, with the exception of game 4 where we played solid D and at times great D. But the road games plus game 3 were terribly disappointing from a defensive standpoint.

Where was Chandler all series? I know he was sick in games 1 and 2, but where was he in games 3 and 5? Miami had like 1000 layups and 2000 rebounds....he's absolutely no factor on offense either in the Playoffs....$14 million on another one-dimensional player...yikes.

Amar'e has been well discussed. Sometimes it's just said that we aren't able to get the best out of the best pick and roll player in the league, simply because we play no pick and roll.....Amar'es biggest deficit is his one-dimensionality. If only he had a post game or was a glass eater.....

Melo needs better screens. All that iso crap ain't the asnwer. He's obviously a very talented and versatile scorer, but if we ever want him to be an effective player, and not just a volume shooter, we need to run better plays to get him open. Screens, pick and rolls, backdoor plays, give and goes and the OCCASSIONAL isolation. What we do is iso him 90% of the time...against the best defenders in the league....not gonna work!

PG play. Our biggest need. Our point guard situation killled us all year. Lin had that great stretch, but most of it was without Melo, Amar'e or both. I'm still not convinced he can get everything flowing nicely when everybody is on the court together. Lin is very talented, but not a pure passer like Rondo, Stockton or Kidd. Another worrying thing s the difference in age between Lin and Shump and Amar'e and Melo. Lin and Shump are in their early twenties, while Amar'e and Melo are 30...which means they're in 'win now' mode while the young guns need another 2-3 years before they peak...talk about different cycles.

The dead wood. We need to get rid off the dead wood. Douglas obviously, Baron Davis and yes - Landry Fields. Fields gave us no reason whatsoever to be positive about his future as a Knick. His season started where it stopped last year - at the bottom. His countless unforced mistakes in game 5 were just a perfect mirror image of Field's season. He might be a good player for a team like San Antonio where he can play 10-12 minutes off the bench next to high IQ players like Duncan, Parker or Diaw, but he's not what the Knicks need and is hurting us more than he's doing good.

Even the HEAT fan gets it. So called KNICKS fans should be embarrassed. But basketball IQ is not a strong point here at KO.COM. STAT getting a pass because no one was feeding him? How about getting your oversized butt down on the block and getting some boards? How about putting a hand in Bosh's face? And if JR spent his free time in the gym shooting instead of getting tats, he would shoot 200% from the field. MELO matched Bron's output for all you so-called KNICKS fans that say BRON is soooooo much better than MELO, but NOBODY else stepped up. The End.

I think we can. If your second string shooting guard from china is taking twice as many shots as your max contract power forward superstar while he is shooting only 20% from the field, your game plan is flawed, especially if that's the case three games in a row. Talk about D'Antoni not being able to adjust his game plan.
