you guys realize that if the knicks get Nash they will likely lose Lin to Toronto who will likely offer lin a backloaded contract of 15 million each as much as out of spite for not getting Nash. Along with the fact they know that he can sell out their arena for a least 1 season and if he plays well until the day he leaves. Toronto more than any other team in the league can and will likely poison pill Lin's contract. Cuban is too smart to offer that kind of contract for those few games and the Nets will likely keep Deron.

I hope they get Felton as a backup and see if OJ Mayo (who seriously is falling between the cracks this off season) is available and set the team up from there. That way arguably the knicks are holding on to pieces that can be traded or moved in the future for other assets. Nash literally is a win now or else move.

@Almost_Famous the fit I have a problem with is 2 things

1. Killing Lin's momentum. He's the PG on this team for better or worse, why bring in someone to replace him. Thats the ultimate sign of disloyalty.

2. Nash thrives in the pick n roll with STAT as the 5 and 3 spot up shooters. We lack those KO shooters well not really but Tyson plays 35 minutes a night and thats the exact reason why STAT is working on his post game because he has to get his other ways now.

Nash-Fields-Chandler-Gallinari-Stoudemire ok but we're not we're a power offense, half court execution running things inside out

Nash's game fits perfectly to bring back STAT, but what about Carmelo? Again I don't think it fits

Lin still hasn't fully worked out his game. I have a feeling if we let him take the reins we have a better chance at building better team chemistry

That is totally true, everyone thinks it is going to be NashVill and Linsanity one two punch but in reality i think Lin would feel offended and bounce for the 15 mill, i know the dudes loyal but come on, A year ago you were worth 250k now you can get 15 mill for 2 years? i doubt we get both and if we do then that shows the ultimate winning at all cost mindset that is lacking in sports today.

The Knicks feel good about their chances of re-signing Steve Novak despite nearly a dozen teams contacting his agent yesterday on the first day of free agency.
But as a back-up plan, the Knicks have targeted free-agent forward, Anthony Tolliver as a possible replacement, according to sources. Tolliver was an excellent 3-point shooter two seasons ago with the Timberwolves before being hampered by a wrist injury last season.
A good rebounder and defender, Tolliver’s adjusted plus-minus ratings have pro scouts impressed. The Knicks are afraid of the new luxury-tax penalty and prefer not to have to compete with a club offering Novak the full $5 million mid-level exception.
