Marc J. Spears: Expect Heat, Celtics, Lakers, Hawks and Knicks to have interest in free agent Rashard Lewis once he clears waivers, source tells Y! Twitter

Lewis would be a perfect fit on this team.

I would love to have a bench with Smith, Novak and Lewis with some decent PG like Kidd or Felton hopefully

Well theres reports that the suns want to do a sign and trade with the knicks for fields.Great right? But they also want Iman in the deal also...DAMN.

Hahn's replied to these rumors already saying he doubts we'll include Shump in any package, he means too much to this organization. But, to get some more insight check ESPN radio at 7:00PM where Hahn will be talking about probable Knicks FA moves. However, a package of Fields, Douglas and Gadzurić sounds possible, especially if you can work these three contracts into our taxpayers' MLE, that would increase to around $9.3M/year (don't know if it's CBA possible though, if not it will be $6.3M, but we'd still keep our MLE).

The Knicks are Back
hmmmm Lewis could be nice for us, if he plays up to his capabilities, i just dunno if he can. Over the course of the past couple of years i havent seen anything out of him to show he can still contribute. Maybe its the fire lost cause he was playing for bad situations, i dunno, but all im saying is there could probably be better options. Is Kenyon Martin a FA? i think he would be a monster off the bench to spell STAT

I'd stop the Nash **** right now its starting to remind me of when the Jets went hard after Nnamdi when it wasn't necessary

Chris Haynes, CSNNW.com Trail Blazers Insider (@ChrisBHaynes)

The unrestricted free-agent center, Marcus Camby, has narrowed his choices to the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, and the Dallas Mavericks, a league source told CSNNW.com.

All of these teams and then some, called Camby's agent, Rick Kaplan, shortly after July 1 hit, inquiring about his services, but at this point in his career, he's only considering teams in contention for a championship, the same source said.

I'm being told at the moment, Camby doesn't plan on taking any visits with teams, being that he's been in the league for so long and knows what he is looking for.

Camby, 38, just completed his 16th season and spent the first half of last season as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers before being traded at the trade deadline to the Houston Rockets for Jonny Flynn, Hasheem Thabeet, and a 2012 second round pick that was used to select Will Barton.

He has career averages of 9.7 points per game, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks.

Starting to feel like we are on everyones List, not like it matters we can make but so many little moves

Is this Knicks team capable of overtaking Miami? I really don't think so. All these proposed trade ideas seemed to suggest that a little tweaking will propel the team into the next level. I must be missing something.

Miami isn't that far ahead of us. The fact that they get favoritism form the refs hurts our chances at beating them in a series. But our core can compete with their core

If Miami was getting help from the refs this season, what would lead you to believe that LeBron & Co won't get the same treatment next year?

But that's besides the point, I think we are one PF from becoming a dominant team. I don't know how much Stat has left in the tank.

With Shump out till mid-season, Knicks will also need a defense specialist like Shane Battier.

I said the refs will be our Achilles heel, if they let us play them physical like they do then we got a shot. Also STAT should have a bounce back year. He needs to pick it up on the defensive side of the ball though as for Shumpert being out we need to ad Deshawn Stevenson I think he'll put us into top 5 around the league

I know your not thrilled with the idea of getting Nash, but this guy IMO is the best shot we have at taking out Miami. He may be up there in age but he keeps himself in terrific shape and is still the best passing PG in the game today. He averaged 10 assist last year with basically a bench roster with the suns, that's pretty impressive and he almost got the suns in the finals. Nash brings out the best in everyone.

We need a floor general we have Lin, but i can tell you this much LIN is not taking us to the promise land. He will be a Great PG in the future and who better to learn from than Nash?

Nash+Amare makes Amare not seem so useless and eases the pain of his atrocious contract.

Nash+Melo = Less Contested/chucked shots from Melo, the floor spacing would be Legit giving Melo enough room to operate.

Nash+Chandler= Nash would make Chandler a scoring threat down low, we already seen what Lin/Jason kidd could do with Chandler imagine what NASH could do with chandler.

Like somebody said before the PROS outweigh the CONS with signing Nash.

:whack:Gundy, Ca7 etc etc how can you not be in favor of signing this guy. Eliminate his age and just look at the quality we would be getting :smokin: (plus we still have Lin) Nash + Lin PG tandem .... how can you pass that up o_O

I don't understand why Knicks don't get all the calls all the time? Shouldn't Stern be thrilled that NYK is once again a NBA powerhouse? After all, New York is still the biggest media center in the world. But I wouldn't worry too much about the refs.

If STAT somehow regains his explosiveness and stays healthy, we will be competitive. Adding a defense specialist and a competent backup PG should be the top priority.

DeShawn Stevenson? Really?

Stevenson is the type of player every team needs. Grimey, aggressive, hard nosed and understand his role. He really gave it to James and Wade in 2011 and is a guy who could help our team get to the next level

But age is my biggest concern for Nash. This guy has lower back problems and has logged a lot of mileage on his wheels.

I'd love to have his experience on this team but not at the price that we are going to pay.

Nash's age is the biggest reason why, also the price, also I hate the fit.

On a terrible Suns team Nash averaged 10.7 assists per game last year and almost single handedly put them in the playoffs.

But he didn't so thats a moot point. Numbers aside Nash isn't a good investment at 38 years old period
