The thinking is by the 2nd season we will have his early bird rights, subsequently enabling us to give him a proper long term contract at MLE level money.

I guess his bad playoff run worked too our favor. He'll be back stronger. Seems to work hard and have a good relationship with Woodson. Plays good D. Knicks got a steal in this deal

J.R. Smith: "I have decided to re-sign with the Knicks. I just felt that despite my other options, NY is best situation for me. Coach Woodson showed a lot of faith and trust in me last season. as did Mr. Dolan. My teammates are great to play with and the NY fans are the best. I can't wait to get started.''
Jr Swish, glad to be back!

JR tweeting he wants to change his jersey number!

First it was #23 but that is Marcus Camby's number
Then it was #2 probably going to Jason Kidd
Now its #4 but since we have roster space we could go after K-Mart, so baffling to what number he might choose next... Stayed tuned to this saga!

Great news...I was getting nervous about someone swooping in and taking J,R

I am just happy that not everyone wants to join the Heat and some want the bigger challenge in NY

J.R is such a steal, especially with Landry Fields, who isn't half the player J.R is, getting 6 mil a year...LOL

Now we should look to match Lin's offer sheet
    Sign Jeffries to vet min
Sign Prigioni to vet min or biannual exception
Use Dan Gadzuric in a sign and trade for a SG

I know we all love Jeffries but he has just come off knee surgery, and if we could get K Mart for the Bi-Annual, should be do it?

    Gadzuric to Atlanta for Stevenson

Sign Drew Gordon as our back up 4-man

Jeffries as our 3rd Center/Power Forward

Sign AJ Price as our 3rd PG

    PG- Lin/Kidd/Price
    SG- Stevenson/Smith- Shumpert (IR)
    SF- Anthony/Novak/White
    PF- Stoudemire/Gordon
    C- Chandler/Camby/Jeffries

maybe keep Chris Copeland as IR guy, insurance player
