Kenny Smith said it best, "JR.smith career has been Bad-Shot-Maker & Bad-Shot-Taker" when Barkley & Webber stated JR.smith is the leader of the Knicks .. they didnt know the Knicks were 7-9 in their last 16 games.
This streak wont last for much longer. Everyone getting used to new things and Felton coming back will help the %
JR Smith is taking 14.7 shots to get 16 points per game...
This is what u consider a non-threaten player on offense, and u wish your oposition best two players have the same statistics.
14.7 shots is rounded off to 15 shots all day long.
Any NBA player given the "Greenlight" to take 15 shots per game is expected to average 20 points per game.
The expectation of 15 shots per-game are getting to the foul-line 3 to 4 times, plus hitting 2-5 from 3-ball line, after playing 30 games with the same teammates.
This same subject should be written on Raymond Felton "Player-Performance" thread for taking 14.6 shots to get 15 points per-game.
Put this POST on the walls of the Knicks lockerroom, and all over the walls in coach Woodson office...
JR is straight trash. He wonders why he isnt a starter.
I wouldn't go as far to say JR is trash but he definitely doesn't have the mental capacity to be a starting SG on a championship level team.
It is funny how quick people are to jump on a player when they make mistakes. As usual this will play itself out, if you honestly think that he cost the team the game 100% than power to you lol.
JR Smith is Jamal Crawford with better defense. Just requires good coaching/monitoring to get the best out of him. I personally don't like his hero ball ways but with the tempo we play, we need a guy like this on the team.
51 shots and only 4 free throw attempts.....
It does not take a high basketball IQ to figure out whats wrong here.....
JR's game creates no double teams as he always shooting from the outside and never driving the ball.
Its a one man game and in the end we will not win that way.
Woodson needs to step up and coach this team as a team.
