Felton haters are getting just what they wanted here, games like this with the man on the bench.

ZERO FAST BREAK POINTS.

of course, Melo would have made a big difference, unless he shoots 6-25...

face it, Knicks minus Melo+Felton = big suckfest

Yea, I'm missing felton right now. He just tries too much.

I was unsure of how important Felton was for us until about a week after he got hurt. Kidd can still get his against some teams but he was alot more effective and consistent with Raymond in there. Ray did a great job of finding players/attacking the rim off the pick and roll. How long again until he comes back?

wow, a month more of this (before Felton and Shump return)...we shouldn't fall too far in the standings...maybe to 3rd or 4th by time they return. Lets hope we are done with injuries

These injuries are mounting. This must be addressed. OUR BIGS CAN'T STAY HEALTHY, that incudes Amare.

No bigs / snake bitten health = No chip.

Indy played some great defense. We'd have a better chance with Carmelo playing, but apparantly feeding an NBA troll and getting suspended was more important than securing two possible Ws.

No matter what happens you can always count on Kiya to somehow put all the blame on either Melo and/or JR and give them no credit when they play well.

:agreed:
Your absolutely right, I blame "Sandy" on mother-nature ....
If Novak took 10+ shots, Stat took15+ shots, JR took 15 shots, and the other 50 shots were divided between the team .. and we lost, it would be a team lost.

REAL-TALK ......
PF-Melo playing point-foward lead us to be out-rebounded 3 of 5 games this season, lastnight JR Smith would not let PG-Pablo lead the point, so our offense depended on JR decision-making at the point which let JR take 29 shots hitting only 10 .. what do u call 10-29 shooting?
is that the same as 6-26 shooting?

Woody's level of coaching performance is going down-hill as the season goes on, by letting Dolan's boy Melo & JR lead the point, the two ex-Denver players cant lead a fastbreak or get out on transition .. so why would u give such "individual-players" the comfort of receiving the ball when 20 seconds or more are on the shot clock .. untill Melo & JR learn how to create for their teammates they should receive the ball when 10 seconds or less are left on the shot-clock .... The same method PG-Chauncey Billups used to take Denver to the WCF.

What's bad is Felton has never been in the top-15 PG who's a creator for his teammates during his NBA career, this is why Felton (like JR) are force to take so many bad shots .. Felton almost became a top-10 creative PG in 2010 with Stat, untill traded to Denver where PG-Ty Lawson got Gallo & W.Chandler more involve in the offense then Felton.

I swear we must be cursed !

Felton, sheed, camby and shump down. Stat's doctor telling coach to cut his minutes, all we need now is for them to pull an alan houston and ask him to retire.

****, in a little bit Copeland will be our main offense if these injuries keep piling up

Injuries had nothing to do with our 4-6 record in the last 10 games ....
poor substitution, poor defensive chemistry, poor rebounding, and letting two players shoot 50% of the shots taken, it didnt matter if the two players were shooting 50% or 20% in the game .. coach Woody did nothing to solve any of the above weaknesses, other than pray for a final shot win in crunchtime...

No Melo, no Felton, no Sheed, no Shump, no show Novak, Stat shaking off the rust, Camby out the fourth quarter, JR bruised with a puffy patch sitting between his eyes, and we only lost by 5 points while keeping Indy to just 81 points (at the Pacers home). We could have won against a ball club that?s arguably one of the best defensive teams in the league.
As I said numerous times? this team is capable of beating anyone. We just need to stay healthy, especially going into the post season. I?m glad that we are getting all the bad mistakes and decision making out the way now.
There were a lot of lessons to be learned in this week alone, hopefully the Knicks learned them and will make the needed adjustments. By our 60th or so game we should be more comfortable and confident and I?m sure we will not just be a 3ball and iso team either. Health and Defense are my only concerns.

Yet our defensive decline coincides with players like Sheed and Felton out of the line-up.

...and that's a cumulative effect. Lose Sheed who seemed underrated on defense and the shuffle begins. Camby gets more minutes and that results in injury.

Kidd gets more minutes at the 1, shifting Brewer to the starting 2, our offense struggles. Brewer at the 2 means more minutes at the 3 with Melo gone for Cope.

Its all relative and cumulative. No team can afford to lose too many key players and be successful. The thing is now it's apparent who brought what during our explosive start.

Obviously Felton at the 1 and Sheed off the bench was more advantagous than some thought.

I actually agree with red and Kiya...injuries have hurt us but Woodsons substitutions have hurt us too. The return of Stat has hurt us, having Novak and Stat in the game at the same time is a bad idea. Copeland sucks at defense too but Stats even worse then him. Theres no D in Amare Stouemire

Brewer gave us strong DEFENSE in the first quarter by putting LOCK on Paul George.
Brewer didnt get any playingtime in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th quarter while Paul George ran circles around JR Smith.

I knew something was wrong when Woody let JR.Smith start the 3rd quarter, with Paul George first-step beating JR to the hoop for Camby to leave his man to pickup on George 3 to 4 times making Camby bust his chop and fall .. I couldnt blame Camby for not coming back, when the same move was being applied to Tyson Chandler .. for Camby to watch in the lockerroom TV.
Tyson was so busy keepin an eye on a cutin George at crunchtime that C-Mahinmi scored at will down-low.

Woody never called time-out to speak to JR about the no-defense effort or fix the problem of stoppin George (look at Paul George stats) .. JR Smith scoring was not needed in this low scoring game, JR couldve sat on the bench all game givin us a better chance at winning with Brewers defense, plus more ball movement with Pablo at the point.
Stat receiving the ball 20 feet out from the basket, plus the only inside plays were going to Tyson, when Tyson shouldve been screening for Stat down low like he did for Dirk in Dallas.

POOR POOR COACHING .. This type of coaching with Melo in the lineup tonite will still give the Roseless Bulls a edge to build a 20 point lead.
especially if Woody keep sleepin on Brewer for JRSmith.

But that's just it.

Even if Brewer was "locking down" we lacked offense (see 1st, 2nd, 3rd quarter score) and began to fall behind. Why? Because Bewer can't consistently score; his contribution comes as a result of attention teams had to give to Melo, TC, and Felt.

...and that's after Kidd gets the kick-out due to his 3pt prowess. In other words, similar to Novak they are ancillary parts useful when they are left open and the ball swings around. They are by definition one dimensional.

So coach goes with the 2nd unit (STAT, Novak & JR) for additional scoring... what happens?

Well, simply put they demonstrated why coach has them where he dos on the depth-chart. JR although scoring- 6th man potential off the bench is nice, he's limited and not a two way player. Same goes for Stat and Novak; they are limited and one dimensional.

We lost too many two-way players, then asking one dimensional players to become what they aren't. Coach doesn't dictate that, nor can control that... injuries did. And it is what it is. When we are down too many players it's wishful thinking that we can still succeed.

Now JR is expected to stop SF George? That's ridiculous.
Like I always say... "there's a reason why they were lower on the depth chart"

Because they're not as good as the guy ahead of them. Simple.

Some take lemons and make lemonade. But you can't take a steak and make ice cream.

And you damn sure can't make an omlette without the eggs. All we can do is hope and wait that we can get healthy and gel by April.

keep talking what u want but even on mine polish board ppl simply said
that STAT is playing like grey cloud

this team is "depend" from regular scorer like MELO that why he is still alone without any alternate thats why he is so good.He is able to win against anyone.

on same board ppl also said that with such roster and many injuries they still gotta pretty impresive record while lot refs are NON CALLS with MELO which is major factor for his techs.

Why Bucks won with Bulls twice already

How Bobcats won with Bulls where they had 18 loosing streaks.

IMHO Knicks need to fix 1.FT's shooting last few games these FT's cost games especially C's

2.More pts in paint look how many times Chandler is outplayed in restricted area

3.Many Jumps shots are taken pretty much without using Brain :(

Yes .. I did take in the fact that we are a 23-12 record team, and our 15 man roster has no chemistry (together) on offense or defense, which make our 9 man rotation struggle in the 4th quarter of the majority of our game.
We are still playing like a team just put together with decent veterans.
In the 4 to 5 games Camby & Stat play, both look like they are on a new team having no concept of the situation.

When mentioning our players by name .. its best to mention the minutes they average, along with the lineup they are ussually in ....

We started the season with 4 players averaging 30+ minutes of playingtime, Felton, JR, Melo, Tyson ..
Felton shootin way to much got him kicked out the lineup for 4 to 6 weeks (ok injury).
The Felton injury gave Kidd 30+ minutes of playingtime ..
The 5th player Novak average 24 minutes of playingtime ..
The 6th player Brewer average 19 minutes of playingtime ..
The 7th player Pablo average 15 minutes of playingtime ..
The 8th player Copeland average 11 minutes per in 23 of our games ..

on a 1 to 10 test (10 the better) what level would u consider the chemistry of the above 8 player rotation?
