No Melo - No Stat = Fuggedaboudit
Whats our record when Copeland plays?
That's the Knicks from begin of the season.
Playin D, ball movement, chemistry, smile at faces.
Keep it guys, go Knicks!
Prigioni and Martin needs their roles increased, possibly starter position.
Prigioni (defense, Smith gets better looks and doesnt have to create his own shot all time, Prigioni runs the pick and roll better than Felton)
Smith (Best scorer by delfault)
Shumpert (Best perimeter defender by default)
Martin (Best defender overall on this team right now)
Chandler (Our best player right now)
Felton/Kidd off the bench as back up guards to limit Smith and Prigioni being overplayed
When Melo returns, move Shumpert to SG and bring Smith off the bench, limiting Felton's/Copeland's minutes.
Novak/Copeland/Thomas/Camby as the back up frontcourt to limit Martin/Chandler to 30 minutes.
I miss the game last night, but will watch it on MSG channel at 10:30 this mourning.
I did check the stats for minutes played .. and this is the first time in a very long time that coach Woody gave out the right minutes that fit our players talents and skills .....
JR's minimal skills supose to average under 30 minutes, 28 minutes should be his tops.
Felton supose to be averaging 24 minutes b/c we have 3 PG.
Tyson is a 4 to 5 foul center that any minutes over 26 minutes is soft Tyson Chandler.
Novak is a 27 minute peremeter shooter that should be averaging 10 shot attempts per game.
Shump defensive energy in the backcourt is still rookie-raw, making Shump a 24 minute player receiving 16 to 18 minutes in the 2nd half of every game. And hell-no Shump is not a starter! yet. Emergency start only.
Our bench depth should be lead by HOF coach/player Jason Kidd & Camby receiving 24 minutes each per game.
Prigioni & Copeland tandem earned 18 minutes per game in their consistent performance in our preseason games to be groomed throughout the regular season.
Why coach Woody did not coach our players to their best skills/talents/strength by minutes played this season?
Because coach Woody stayed focus on "TRYING" to get a gellin-chemistry out of one lineup -- Tyson/Melo/JR/Felton, which we seen the 4 players received 40 minutes of playingtime showing poor defensive-effort in to many games.
I dont know what the hell is going on with this Knicks team, where the headcoach never comments on the great-effort from the team-roster, but is forever making his first priority toward hyping or defending our two-EGO high-scorer who consistently show NO-DEFENSIVE-EFFORT .. Melo & Stat.
There's one thing we can count on with a missing Melo & Stat .. coach Woody is not going to allow any more benchplayers to pull a winning-streak Linsanity move to take focus off of Melo being the so-call Leader-Star of the Knicks...

I see no-one has mention how well the Knicks rotation looked in the first-half of the last 3 games without Carmelo Anthony in the lineup running the steady boring ISO-Melo offensive-play.
White & Kurt looked great on offense/defense the first 7 minutes as starters.
Novak 4-5 FG, 3-4 from 3-ball in the first-half for 11 points .. looks like the Linsanity era Novak without Melo in Novak's shooting spots.
K-Mart brang a boost of energy off the bench on offense/defense backing-up Kurt.
With no Stat playing, coah Woody finally plays Camby as Tyson's backup.
Why didnt Woody do that when Stat was playing??? check Hint
Halftime .... Knicks 55 Utah-38
The first 6 minutes of the 2nd half the Knicks built their lead up to 20 points from all 5 players playing a great TEAM-DEFENSE, before putting JR.smith into the game. The next 6 minutes with JR in the third-quarter the Knicks held onto a 19 point lead to start the 4th quarter.
Having 7 minutes remaining in the game holding onto the 19 point lead Woody puts Copeland into the game after a month of DNP. With 6 minutes left Woody take JR out of the game, annnd Copeland shows his raw talent of flaws from being in the doghouse plus adding 12 points, a block, a steal, and some fouls in 7 minutes.
That's how the Knicks should always play.
Boggles my mind that Woodson can give J.R. so many chances (which would be ok if he took him out when he needed to), yet gives rookies Copeland and Prigioni a way harder time, maybe only because they're rookies. Hopefully this non-sense has stopped, we need these guys.
Watch the game again to see the "stat" of Melo in the line-up vs. STAT in the lineup. This team can get by withou STAT, not MELO
This is FFFed-up .. the players stepped-up their level of performance to 110% on both ends of the court playing with a confidence we havnt seen in the past 4 months, holding onto a 20 point lead for 3 quarters WITHOUT Melo & Stat in the lineup.
Now I understand why we only have 38 wins compared to the Denver Nuggets 42 wins .. Ball-movement vs Iso-Melo .. u pick???
