Do you have a link or is this some ESPN "Insider" crap you have to pay for??

Man if this list was created within the past week or two I have no idea how Melo is not in the top 5 this season. I would put him ahead of Parker and Wade without hesitation.

I don't watch any of these players as much as Melo, plus Im a Knicks fan....but even with my biased view and limited knowledge of the rest of these guys I would still think Melo is top 5 no question ...... I would rank them for THIS seasons performance as such:

1. James
2. Melo
2. Durant
4. Paul
5. Bryant

I have to put Lebron at the top spot .... Heat had something like 27 wins in a row and he has been effective and efficient in almost every aspect of the game.....guy is just unreal.

I got Melo at 2 above Durant, Paul and Kobe. Melo and Durant are close for me, but deciding factor is Durant has another MVP quality teammate while Melo does not. As good and valuable as CP3 has been for LA, Melo has been more so for NY. Bryant has had a hell of a year and carried that poor excuse of an underachievers he calls teammates on his back despite his age.....although he shouldn't have to with Howard.

Take Wade off Miami and they're still a top tier team. Take Parker off San Antonio they're still a playoff team. Can't say the same about the Knicks without Melo in my opinion. Harden is solid player too, but not on Melo's level.

Fundamentally Sound
Melo is not better than Bron, Durant or CPg.. Those are the 3 best players in the league.

He's in the top 5 though. I'd put him above Westbrook, Wade and right now. I'd put him behind Kobe at 5.

I couldn't find the article bigapple was talking about but here's the lateset Hollinger PER stats. Melo ranks 6th and Broussard ranks MVP candidates in Insider and has Melo 3rd behind Lebron/Durant. The reasons Melo is behind Durant, Melo has missed 18 games and his lower FG% along with taking 5 more shots per game to be in a near tie with KD in scoring.

i see name LeBitch anywhere in mobile appz i understand that u hate him but some respect is needed

http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/mia.../lebron-james-vs-carmelo-anthony-10-years-ago

only diffrences between those 2 players are REFS

Melo lives with nightmare refs which calling simply almost nothing in the paint

when James refs calling any touch.

Melo is playing to much one 1 one no driving into paint
James is not thinkin just driving + and 1

4 me Melo need company he cant do everything by himself
James much much easier life with players like Wade Bosh Chamlers Battier............simply stronger bench
