I dissed Shump saying he would never be an all-star largely because he plays a position where there are a lot of good players but if he can shoot the J like he has in the playoffs then he has the potential.

2 guards in the east? Wade, JJ, Monta, JR. PG Deron, DRose, Rondo, Holliday, Wall. Shump goes 15 over the full season along with his solid D should be able to score an all star bid.

Could be, but given his skill set, I think that would limit what he can do. I can see him defending PGs in a cross match.

IMO I doubt Shump will end up being our starting PG because Raymond Felton's court vision, passing, ball-handling, and ability to drive into the lane is just a better skill set for a starting PG. He will probably remain our starting SG and a defensive one at that. It seems his 3 point shooting has improved a lot but since we have a lot of other proven scorers, we don't need Shump to do much more than what he is doing now. We need him to expend his energy on the defensive end and rebounds more than his ability to play point, especially when we have better proven point guards in Felton and Prig.

If all our bigs including STAT and Melo can focus more on rebounds and the defensive end of the court, there's no team that we can't beat.
