Today in Knicks history
December 18, 2006Stephon Marbury hits a driving, buzzer-beating layup to give the Knicks a 97-96 (OT) win over Utah at Madison Square Garden. Knicks dressed the minimum, eight players in the contest, as it was the first game following a melee with the Nuggets.

Recent meetings
October 30, 2013The New York Knicks opened the team?s 68th season of NBA basketball at the newly transformed Madison Square Garden with a convincing victory over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 90-83 for its first win of the 2013-14 season. New York was led by Carmelo Anthony?s 19 points and 10 rebounds over 38 minutes for his first double-double of the season. Raymond Felton added 18 points, three assists and three steals over 34 minutes of play. Iman Shumpert posted 16 points and four rebounds over 33 minutes. Milwaukee was paced by Gary Neal?s 16 points and five assists off the bench. Caron Butler added 14 points. Milwaukee was short handed as they saw its starting guard Brandon Knight leave the game two minutes in. New York, once up 25-points, saw their lead dissolve but thanks to a Tyson Chandler put back dunk and two straight Anthony jumpers late in the fourth quarter put the Knicks up five points, a lead they would not relinquish. New York, after a slight hiccup, regained its control over the game and cruised to a 90-83 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on opening night.
April 5, 2013On a night where the New York Knicks honored the 1972-73 NBA championship team, the Knicks had a first half to forget before scoring a season-high 42 third quarter points- 18 points from Carmelo Anthony and 12 from J.R. Smith- as they rolled the Bucks in the second half outscoring Milwaukee 65-38 en route to a 101-83 victory to extend its winning streak to 11-games. The 11-game winning streak, which is tied for the third longest in franchise history, is the longest since the 1993-94 season (15-games). Carmelo Anthony posted 41 points on 17-28 shooting and 14 rebounds over 37 minutes for his seventh double-double of the season. This was Anthony?s third consecutive 40-point performance tying the franchise record for consecutive 40-games (Bernard King- three straight in 1984). J.R. Smith recorded 30 points on 11-22 and 10 rebounds over 34 minutes for his seventh double-double of the season. This is the second game this season that both Anthony and Smith each posted at least 30-points in the same game. Milwaukee was led by Brandon Jennings? 25 points and four rebounds over 37 minutes. Larry Sanders added nine points and 12 rebounds over 31 minutes.

Yeah what is going on here? I'm trying to read between the lines with the Amare situation but it's very unclear. Woodson just said that Tyson is starting for the Knicks.

Looks like we're going to see alot of Toure Murry so people like myself will see if he's worth begging for anymore haha. Also Chris Smith is obviously going to get time too so....be prepared lmao

We're all aboard a flaming garbage truck that's been pushed off the top of Mt. Everest. It is a long way to the bottom, but it's been looking more and more like a sure thing we're going to get there. As for myself, I don't care if we hit rock bottom so long as we don't make a single move that kills our future flexibility in two offseasons. Might as well give Toure Murry and Chris Smith some burn along with THJ, Shump, Aldritch, and Tyler when he is available. Let's go Knicks!

We're already hit rock bottom, but with this franchise and the worst team assembled in Knicks history....is there even a rock bottom? A loss to the Bucks would just define us the worst team in the NBA by far.

Pregame show says that Toure will be first PG off bench. Not sure how much playing time that means if we use other guards at the point. Further shake up of a team with bad offensive chemistry probably won' t bode well, but why not at this point?

Knight has 11 points in 5 minutes. Will we adjust our defensive scheme to better contain him? You bet your butt we won't!

Knicks should take 3 Quick time out before the shotclock runs out just to make a point.

That would be nice ....

This is a easy win .. with Tyson or without Tyson
But then again .. does Melo pose to play 40 minutes vs the Bucks???
or is his indidual-stats more important than a win ???

I still have not gotten over the Washington game .. and all the comments after it
