Mid-Season 2014 Starting Five

ok, so we're a little past mid-way, but All-Star weekend looms, and then it's the race for the playoffs, where every game counts towards the post-season run.

If the Knicks don't make a major move before trade deadline, who should be starting and coming off bench, in your opinion, at this point?

PG - Prigs / Felton / Tour'e / Beno
SG - JR / THJR / Shump
SF - Melo / Bargs
PF - STAT / MetaWP / KMart
C - Chandler / Tyler /Cole

What was the best starting-5 lineup we had on the court this season???
The question above should be easy to answer after 51 games.

great question, clyde,

you gotta go with your young guns at this point because it's a wash

1. toure
2. thj
3. whatever
4. melo
5. tyson

i haven't watched a single game this year, so this line up is a rough sketch, but it's probably pretty close.

wow, the return of OrangeBlobMan!

agreed Knicks need to go with youth, but starting Tour'e is not the answer when Knicks want wins. more minutes for the precocious neophyte, for sure!

i don't know, what's the answer? that's not much of an opinion, K-man.

Do u really want to know???

Having a 20-31 record with no chemistry, no effort, and a headcoach playing musical-chairs with the starting-5 lineup, using injuries and restriction as an excuse for the many losses, having a healthy roster to start the season with a 3-13 start.

Its difficult or impossible to decide what players are best to be our starting-5 lineup, or what 5 players are best to be in our closer lineup.
Our starting center Tyson missed 24 games.
Our starting PF Barg missed 9 games.
Our starting SF Melo missed 3 games.
Our starting SG Shump missed 2 games.
Our starting PG Felton missed 16 games.

Our 6th man JRsmith missed 7 games.
Our backup PG Prigioni missed 16 games.

Our rookie SG Tim Hardaway Jr. (aka THJ) missed 1 game, plus started 1 game (over vets Shump/JR/MWP).
"our HC should've been question for starting THJ over veterans."
Since the first game of the season rookie THJ were given crunchtime closer minutes in the 4th qtr. over all our veteran players on a consistent basis.
"our HC should've been question for playing THJ over veteran-players in the final 6 minute of the game consistently."

We Have 9 veteran players, plus 3rd season Shump, and 2nd season Prigioni, there's no way rookie THJ none experience should receive crunch time playingtime minutes consistently in the teams first 40 games of the season.
Or put in the starting lineup over veteran players.
When Barg/Amare/K-Mart/MWP were all injured throughout 2 weeks did we start rookie Jeremy Tyler? NO!
Have Jeremy Tyler receive playingtime during a crunchtime 4th qtr. game? NO!
Last season we never started JRsmith in any game, even when half of our guards were out with injuries.
By doing that last season we never resulted in having a starting-5 lineup, bc JRsmith came off the bench 3 minute after tip-off. Plus JR started the 3rd quarter of 80 games...

can we just start Tour'e Murry, THJR and Jeremy Tyler and see what happens?
how can ANYTHING be worse than the current starting 5 at this point in time?

PG Tour'e
SG THJR
SF Melo
PF Tyler
C Chandler

Failton -------> bench
Chumpert ----> bench
JR $hit -------> bench

wtf do we have to lose? mr potato head refuses to budge until the Knicks are mathematically eliminated, but c'mon now. give the youngbloods a chance to start and make things happen. if they f*ck up, bring in the pathetic losers the Knicks have become.
