Carmelo Anthony led the way with a team high 36 point and nine rebounds over 40 minutes. J.R. Smith came off the bench to record 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes. Raymond Felton, Steve Novak and Amar’e Stoudemire all chipped in 11 points apiece. Minnesota was paced by Ricky Rubio’s 18 points, 11 assists and two rebounds over 39 minutes. Nikola Pekovic recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds over 36 minutes in a losing effort. Luke Ridnour added 20 points.
