I lost all hope/faith in Phil Jackson as Knicks executive waiting on a LOSER carmelo anthony in the offseason, when Phil should be putting his valuable energy into building a winning playoff team without a FLAWED so-call star carmelo anthony.

Carmelo Anthony only won 3 playoff series in his 11 year career in the NBA.
ISO-Melo had great teammates that lead their previous teams to the FINALS, but couldn't help a stuborn big-EGO Carmelo Anthony win more than 3 playoff series in 11 years.

Did Melo's ex-star teammates that been to the FINALS (Camby, Kenyon Martin, Allen Iverson, Billups, and Jason Kidd.) have a teammate on their previous FINALS team better than Carmelo Anthony???
Hell Yeah, when it comes to DEFENSE .. Sprewell, Richardson, Bell, and Tayshaun Prince...

Kiya I think you are looking at this wrong.......No way Phil signs Melo for a max contract for 5 years with the intention of keeping him...Melo is an asset whether u think so or not and teams are willing to do a sign and trade.....If the goal is to rebuild and have total space in 2015 then why not use melo to get some building blocks for 2015........YES If we sign him to a MAX 5 YEAR DEAL with the intentions of keeping Melo for 5 years then a huge mistake.....

TRUE ..but it was Melo's idea to announce he will take a pay-cut as a free-agent during All-Star weekend.
Melo's only an asset within James Dolan's $$$ brain for paying three times Melo's worth to get him in NY.
The NJ Nets refuse to pay twice Melo's worth.

Are u indicating that Phil Jackson will b in Dolan's dog-house, if Phil don't get back something for Melo's departure from the Knicks? YES it will look bad on owner James Dolan's 2011 personal decision to spend over $10M dollars on a bright shinny car (ISO-Melo) that has a $20M maintenance charge yearly, that Dolan's new executive junks to throw in the garbage for not being able to complete a long distant drive on 4 different occasions (Playoffs).
Yeah, thats hard to digest, eating your expensive mistake.
But its even harder to digest spending $25M extra for one more year of maintenance hoping it would change.

Knicks President Phil Jackson was expecting a decision from Carmelo Anthony on Thursday.
''But I expected one yesterday and the day before yesterday,'' Jackson said. ''But no, we're waiting.''
And hoping.

Jackson said he was still expecting good news, although he said he hadn't heard from Anthony since meeting with him a week earlier.
Speaking to reporters at the Knicks' summer league practice in Las Vegas, Jackson said he has texted Anthony a couple of times since then, but hasn't gotten a response.
