Herb Williams may not have public, vocal backing of Stephon Marbury, but he apparently does have it from Allan Houston.
The Knicks' captain and longest-tenured player said he's confident Williams can win at the Garden and wants to see his former teammate and tri-captain get a chance to prove it.
"Herb is well-qualified," said Houston, at Preston High School to present a $1,000 grant for the Got Milk? campaign.
"To have three coaches in three years, I don't think it's fair to judge anybody looking at that. It's just not realistic.
"I think Herb can get it done if he can start in training camp."
