Default Random Knick thoughts thus far...

*Brown may love Steph's new stats of extra bounds, a few assits, and a steal ot two, but I think I like Starbury better with his 22-26 points a night, and always getting to the line. Granted, I luv the D and the fact that he isn't rushing off the floor like yastyear after games
*If Channing Fry got 30 minutes everygame and keeps his play up, He should be rookie ofthe year...There, I said it
*Is it just me, or has everyone stopped raving about Nate?? Damn Knick fans talked about him all summer and you guys never told me he had no jump shot! Hes getting cut from my fantasy team 2mrw!
    * We need to see more of Davd Lee
*I think Jerome James knows his Knick career is over and is having the time of life watching the Knicks lose. I mean, why is he alwasy smiling?
*Q-rich has become that guy on the basketball court that no one picks because all he does is shoot and brag. I hate that guy
*Why does Qrich always do the forehead pound after every shot? I heard a theory that it was because him and Darius Miles were former Blood members, and have fun throwing signs up on TV
*Walt Frazier seems to have cut back on the academic vocab this year
*Why hasn't John Starks jersey been retired yet???? 4get about Steph wearing it, he can never the love Starks got from fans
*Why do the Kincks always get such a hard schedule to start the season with???? Does someone out there like putting the Knicks in an early hole..this is secodn year in a row

The knicks still need to gel, but they have been playing exciting games, and Channing Frye is playing like a #1 pick. If im not mistaken he is playing better then Bogut. He steps out and hits that jumper like nobodys business.

Q is a little ridiculous and i wanna know what happened to playing 'his game' like he was bull****ting about in the preseason press conferences. He is like im gonna post up people and guards cant stop me...blah blah. All i see this guy do is shoot 3's. He doesnt take the ball to the hoop or nothing like that.

I dont care what steph does as long as we win, personally i liked the way he played against the kings, got everyone else involved but when we needed him to step it up he started driving and taking **** over.

The knicks will play better and hopefully win some games

in 30 minutes per night, heres my projections for frye and lee's stats:

    frye: 13.5 points, 7 rebounds
    lee: 9 points, 11 rebounds

it would be a well balanced attack:

with curry as the dominant big guy that posts up in the middle as the center, blocks some shots and gets some rebounds

frye as the big man who runs the floor in transition to get easy buckets, can play some pick and roll with marbury and hit a 15-18 foot jump shot, get some rebounds, and be active overall in the game

lee as a small/power forward who works really hard on the glass, especially on the offensive end, hustles, and creates extra possessions

qrich - the 3 point specialist who gets easy shots when other guys get double teams or marbury penetrates and dishes

marbury - the point guard who does whatever the team needs him to do

crawford, ariza, barnes and nate will be the sparkplugs off the bench as the small guys...and mo taylor, rose, james and davis will be hte veteran big men comming off the bench

this is what i wanna see...i hope larry makes this happen as soon as possible...

i can envision the knicks winning 45 games this season...im pleasently surprised by how much better lee and frye are compared to what i thought they would be like

knicks are doing better than i expected, i mean that's a whole new ball club in the sense of players and coaching plan. i kinda feel bad for lb just because the media has hyped him to take them to the finals (which would be nice). the roster needs time to gel, cuz at times it seems like they are playing larry ball (get down fast, hit the open man, take smart shots, play DEFENSE!.... but when they get a lead or start to panic, it's just hurry up and the commit stupid turnovers). and nate needs to learn that this is the nba, you can't drive and expect to get that lay-up every time like he did in college, still he has had some nice flashes of driving and dishing to the open guy when the other teams center commits. i'd also like to see ariza start and i hope he goes to the slam dunk contest, imo. and if fyre gets the pick and roll down with steph, oh what a sight! curry is playing good, just needs to work out some little problems, q-rich needs to step up his game, crawford looks like he is getting smarter on both ends of the fool ... and jermone james, well i looked in the dictionary for the word "bust" and there he was, that's one guy we need to get on the floor producing or out of new york.

AND if we stop these things ... we will look a whole lot better as a team: second chances for other teams (which kills me!!!), dumb turnovers (as in bad passes) and stupid fouls.

also ... if frye gets some more pt, maybe even starts, he could make a case for rookie of the year (which i would like to see). but ... as of right now, chris paul is a sure-shot runaway for it. still time will tell.

knicks get a harsh schedule cuz they bring money to every game when they are away...thats wat i guess....and i dont know wat u talkin about that Q is that kinda player...the only thing i dont like about Q thus far is that he is not postin up i guess larry brown hasnt put a low post play for him...Q has rebounded very solid and hittin shots

Opening statement is on point in my opinion. Marbury is becoming a true point guard. But who does he go too? Who is there other than Curry and Fry? A big fat no one! I think Marbury's days of 20pts are over. At least they need to be over if he's going to run the floor. In stead of 25 pts he needs to get 14 assists, 15 pts, on a consistent basis. Then he will be one of the best point guards in the league. Richardson has been a let down so far. That one three over the Lakers ant going to cut it! We are playing good defense now n that's great but were is the offense going to come from? Our best offensive threat is our distributer, Marbury. We've only got one choice, move Steph to Shooting Guard and get a decent point guard or get Steph some real offensive help.
