    Default Knicks waive forward Barnes

    The New York Knicks waived forward Matt Barnes on Saturday.

    The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Barnes average 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games this season. He as signed as a free agent on Oct. 6, 2005.

    interesting move...no reason for this unless "a trade is a brewin'". Dont want to speculate maybe the Miles, maybe the Harrington, maybe even the Garnett haha i love when stuff like this happens because it gets minds working over nothing...especially if nothing even comes of it. but it would be a surprise if there wasnt a trade or signing following this.

    I feel kinda bad for Barnes. He worked his ass off to have a job this year, and got awarded with a starting job. That blows man. Put yourself in his shoes...u go from nothing to a starter..then back to zilch. Good Luck to ya Matt, cant say i'll honestly miss you, but i feel bad.

    Matt Barnes was a good addition to the Knicks and he played hard. I don't think it will be long until some team will give him a contract

    Matt Barnes didn't stayed off too much as he was re-signed by the Sixers

    Yea, Matt Barnes can help out a team, coming off the bench and contirbuting with defense and some intangibles. It just didnt work out here.
