this game is gonna be tough.. strong bench, a 7'0" shooter, good rebounding team.. this will be a test for the knicks.. winning this game will prove that the streak is not a fluke..

    Must-win game...what a cliche!!!

But one that definitely applies to this game tonight. I don't care if it's a back-to-back game, how tired they may be after last night's win, etc...Knicks must win this one to prove without a doubt that they are turning things around for good after so many years of suffering. Let Nowitzki get his points, focus on stopping Terry, Stackhouse, Howard, Daniels and Harris.

    They can do it!!!

    P.S.:

I suspect Curry and Frye will have a monster game against that bum Dampier. So let's pound that ball inside and sick Nate-dog on Terry, post up Dirk to get him in foul trouble.

Nate's D is gonna be key. Rebounding the ball is key. No second chace point b/c this team can score. Dirk is gonna be a tough cover. If we cant stop him we gotta counter him. I kook for Frye to score a lot of points. Make free throws. Get to the line and be agressive. Curry, Mo, need to put constant pressure on Dampier. Get in attack mode early and often. Make them play defense. Then execute down the stretch. Watch the 3's from them.

I dont know about this one. The Victory against the Suns suprised me and the W against the Cleavand Lebron James felt good, but we have a better chance beating the Pistons than these guys. Dirk is more of threat than Lebron at times, Dampier will make Curry and James foul out before halftime, Jason Terry is their Crawford, and Howard, Vanhorn ,and Daniels can hurt you when you pay too much attention to Dirk. If we can beat this team, than I see no reason why we cant slip into the playoffs. I just hope that after a loss, we dont go back to our old ways of sucking

if we played them two weeks ago, we would have had some serious problems with them... but today i'm pretty optimistic... i agree that we should let dirk score his ... we can't stop this anyway... me, as a german i know what he's about ... just stop the other guys ... hopefully curry will continue his dominant inside play... i hope nate gets more minutes than last night... we need his and lee's energy..

i disagree. i think curry can handle dampier just let them go at it. and u put davis on the court against dirk for long spurts. dirk isnt the toughest guy in the world and if u put sum1 like davis who will get in his face and play a little rough dirk can be slowed down...and once dirk gets tired u put in frye who shoots the mid range. why? cause Irk has no D...i think steph and terry are gonna play a lot of 1 on 1. which should be interesting....and u dont put lee in the game that much. hes not fast enough to guard the SF spot look at how he was guarding Bron. u put ariza in there and have him stick on howard or daniels. fast quick and right up on them.

we have a chance. but im not expecting a win here. big game last night and tough team tonight. but ill try to be optimistic GOOO KNICKS!!

actually i don't think antonio davis can guard dirk ... he needs to stay close at him so dirk can't pull up for a j ... if he defends close, dirk goes around and takes it the hoop ... unfortunately we have no real shotblocker we scares people going to the basket ... we'll see ... dirk often has problems with smaller guys, especially if his jumper is not falling ... maybe LB will try quentin on dirk

I say the key to slowing Dirk is making him work on defense... so we should be setting up Lee and Channing a lot tonight. Davis is too slow to stop Dirk on the perimeter. I think Lee should be given the chance of guarding Dirk tonight with Channing coming from the weakside.

    Quentin (6'6") on 7-footer Dirk? I don't think that'll work.

i agree.. make Dirk work on D and hope it takes a toll on his offensive game.. watchout for Terry, he's been a factor when the Mavs win.. communicate on D cause this team will make you pay for it if you don't..
