Amityville New York's own Mike James has started rumors by saying he would ponder opting out of his contract next year and sign with New York for the midlevel exception. James (pg/sg) was one of Larry's favorites while playing in Detroit. James (after winning the championship) decided to take a larger contract with Milwaukee the following season, then was traded to Houston. He now plays for the Raptors (who swapped Rafer "Skip to My Loue" Alston to get him)...

personally i think this is should be something the knicks should look into heavily. he can score, he can defend and he can do the most important...get along with larry. steph is playing big minutes with no backup and this could be the answer...any thoughts?

Stephon Marbury's back up is Nate Robinson. Mike James would be a good addition to the Knicks, but I believe it won't happen because he can command a sizeable contract.

i agree... he would give us another scoring option... i remember him playing along with t-mac in houston... he played some serious ball there... he, steph and nate, along with jaycee, that would be a nice backcourt rotation... everyone of these guys can score the basketball, but actually i don't know if such a rotation would create some problems defensifely

We need him now more than ever, since Steph is gonna be out...

i heard the grizz are also interested in mr. mike james... so if we want him to join the knicks, we gotta hurry... but actually, i don't want none of the guys in our rotation to be traded. maybe jerome james, but i guess it's hard to find someone to take him...

well we wouldnt trade for him necessarily. his words suggest hed OPT out of his current contract next season and sign with new york for the midlevel exception. so dont worry if hes traded elsewhere. its what he does in the off season u should like at

I think this rumor is just that, a rumor. Why would any one take less money just to play for the knicks? I can see if we were a title contending team but we are not. I guess rumors are fun for fans but I wouldn't bet the farm on it! Personally I don't like this line up of ours. It's great that we're playing the "right way" and all but we have one of the weakes line ups in the league. Fans will get all excited about Nate until he screws up. Then they'll hate him nearly as much as they hate Steph. Think I'm wrong? I've seen NY fans boo Patrick Ewing before, but I've never seen Utah fans boo Malone. Go figure! Back on point, I'm joining the "Trade Q movement. Not out of hate like you antiStarburys but because he's injury prone and not doing much. Then again we may need to give him a year to fit in. But the line up must change none the less.

know your facts before you speak chris. first its not a rumor if the person in this case Mike James says it on an interview and second of all James makes 3.4 million dollars is the 5 million dolllar exception less than that??? u tell me
