Marbury possibly done for the season

Marbury strained the patella tendon in his left knee during the first half of the Philadelphia 76ers' 117-112 victory and spent the second half on the bench in his suit. He watched Allen Iverson turn in his best performance at the Garden in years, scoring 47 points for Philly while Chris Webber added 34.

Marbury will have an MRI today, and with only 11 games remaining, there is a chance that Marbury - who in recent years has been bothered by knee tendinitis - will be shut down for the season.

"Let's see what happens with the MRI and go from there," Larry Brown said after his team fell to 19-51. "We're not going to do anything foolish."

If Marbury's season is over, speculation about his future will begin in earnest. Earlier yesterday, Brown admitted that moving Marbury to shooting guard could be beneficial to both the Knicks and Marbury.

This could have been the last game for Marbury in a Knicks jersey

ok so this probably means no more wins for the season, but should be entertaining with the athletes showing what they can do. will robinson drop another 30+ game?

he did a wonderfull job after being pretty much on the bench after the allstar break.. and marbury played just a few minutes.
It is now time to play these 2 rookies to the max.. there's nothing to lose

well we got 19 wins with him in the lineup (ofcourse he was injuired for a few games)... so how much worse can the team get with him out of the lineup??

Lets pray that our days of seeing Marbury wear a Knicks jeresy are finally over!!!! I don't care where they send him in the offseason.

And lets hope that the Garden will retire #3 in honor of the most beloved Knick player there ever was: John Starks

The good news is that nothing serious happened to steph, just a strained left patella tendon and no structural damage. However, it is still not certain if he will be returning to any of the 11 games left
