Yo man you might be right but the GUARDS MUST GOOO!!!!! This roster is not as bad as people make it out to be but we have way, way too many guards. We need to get rid of at least two of them. I like Francis. So much that I am considering changing my view on trading him. He needs an opertunity to play ball. He and Steph could be an unstoppable backcourt. You read it right! There are and endless amount of scoring options if we have:

Francis at Point
Starbury SG
Harrington SF
Frye PF
Curry C

We can move just about any one on the bench for Harrington. But that move alone is not enough. We need to move the guards out. Pull in a few more back up defensive players.

I like Marbury's point guard abilities a little more than Francis. I think he's a better passer the Francis when he actually gives up the rock. Harrington would be a decent fit, but I'd rather have a good defensive rebounding SF. I wouldn't mind a role player like R. Patterson at SF. He's a great defender and attacks the glass. Just a thought.

Yeah lets lay off the name calling and speak like mature fans here buddy. And Chris happens to be right. Larry wanted Isiah gone so he could be GM. He tried to make trades behind his back. He benched Nate Robinson, David Lee, Channing Frye and every other talent Isiah got. ALONG with Jalen Rose and Steve Francis WHOM Brown made him acquire.. so cmon. lets get on topic too

You know, I might buy Larry wanting Rose, but there is no way he wanted Frances, that is an Isiah move all the way! From what I understand, more coaches talk to to other teams than you would think. Riley did that when he was a Knick, but he also worked with Ernie better than Brown did with Isiah. The Riley, Ernie era also had more romm to work in with the cap than current management. But, the fact is that the Isiah, Isiah era has now started so let's see what he does.

I’m baaaaaack!!! ... I never knew there were so many Thomas/Dolan ass kissing posers out there, nor did I know how pathetically brainless some of you are. Quit surfing porn for 12 year old boys and get a life instead of trying to defend two of the most pathetic and helpless halfwits ever to be associated with the game of basketball. And who is this "senior" donchris from NC of all places anyway, or is that dumbass? Go back to the farm pal. Senior-tard-with-head-up-the-butt is more like it. Anyone who can honestly believe the mindless drivel you and your little bunch of cohorts keep spewing is beyond belief. Thomas and Dolan have made the Knicks the laughing stock of the league.

Al Harrington looks to be heading back to Indiana. That's why they passed on Peja. Jermaine O'Neal has been lobbying for Al since he left. The Knicks though have to deal with what they have. If we stand pat with our current roster, Houston, Anderson, Rose, Taylor, Williams all come of the books at $61039250. That would be 5 guys out and a ton of money saved. Cheaper players like Balkman and Collins allow for us to get two defenders in at crucial positions. And in the process we have to guys that we play with a chip on their shoulders because no one expects them to do well. I can wait to watch the summer league games to see these guys develop. This team needs to re-become simply that...a team. Isiah has to stop the me first guys. The Pistons and Spurs prove that you don't need a ton of talent to win. You need guys to buy into a philosophy and pull in the same direction. Now that we're going to play run & gun, I feel our defence will improve. As well, guys playing consistent minutes with defined roles will ensure the growth of this team. If thats not exciting, I don't know what is.

The guy calls himself Larry Brown and we kiss butt? Classic!! How about a suggestion once and a while. Or are you just a Larry Brown fan? That’s all of the time I’ll give your trash.
If the guards must go, we’d better get what we need in return. I say keep Steph, Nate and Jamal. Also keep Q, Butler, Frye, Curry and Lee. We’re stuck with Jerome James. I think we would have to keep Balkman and Collins, barring catastrophic pre-seasons. I realize that does not leave much wiggle room. That leaves Mo-T, Malik Rose, Jalen Rose, Stevie Franchise and Qyntel Woods. Malik & Mo-T have expiring contracts. Stevie Franchise is needed by several teams. Woods is a free agent, maybe to be re-signed. Jalen Rose, who knows? Maybe he can be moved for somebody we can use or package with others to get somebody we really need.
If Harrington is headed back to the Pacers, more power to him. I’d take Rashard Lewis, if he doesn’t cost us our youth. I also think we can improve with the same guys we have now, although I’d like to add shotblocker/rebounder.
Hey Brandy, sorry for your loss. Hope to see you at The Garden, anyway!!

Oh Lord Jehovah please convince Seattle to take back the expiring deals of Jalen Rose and Mo Taylor plus Nate Robinson in exchange for Rashard Lewis and Chris Wilcox.

Oh Mighty Allah father of Christ find Steve Francis, Jerome James and Malik Rose a new home (KG would qualify as a miracle, thanks even if it requires Frye).

Starting 5:
PG - Steph
SG - Jamal
SF - Lewis
PF - KG
C - Curry

Backups:
PG - Collins
SG - QRich
SF - Balkman
PF - Wilcox/Lee
C - Butler

I'd go to war with this bunch.

thats not the case, larry brown asked for both jalen and francis and now he wants them down, just to get them both costed 80 million extra and now larry wants to cut 6 players equalling 180 million dollars, larry is just qrazy
That's if you believe the spin coming from isiah and dolan. Do either francis or rose seem like guys larry brown would want to add to a team that already has more than enough malcontents and losers

Yo I laughed when I read this $h!t. I supose I waist my time in replying to this but for the record I don't think I ever defeded Dolian and I know I never surfed the web for gay porn. Straight porn, that's another matter all together. (Joke) Also it shouldn't be hard to tell that I'm originally from the northeast. (Eastorange NJ) I'm the truest of fans. You guys think there are alot of Knicks fans down here after a $h!t season? Bottom line, it doesn't really matter how you feel be logical. Trading the whole team or what ever ant logical. Can any one suggest a real trade for Marbury. A quality player. I dare any one to make a real suggestion that will "help" this team cause so far we've read a lot of riffin but no one has really said anything. I challange any one who thinks Marbury is hurting this team to suggest a real trade for him that would help. If you can come up with one.

Its impossible to suggest a trade for "Starbury" because he has ZERO trade value. Who would pay him what the Knicks are paying to avg under 20 points a game and be a lockeroom cancer???? "Starbury" will definetly die a Knick because nobody else in the league would be stupid enough to take him. He needs to be cut so the can team rebuild without him. "Starbury" and "Franchise" an unstoppable backcourt???? We are talking about an NBA game, not a Globetrotters show. NBA rules allow only one basketball on the court at a time, not ten. Can you imagine starting not one but two undersized guards against an NBA line-up??? Who would they be able to defend???? And you say I don't know anything about hoops??? Please.....

Jim you've just made my point for me. Well sort of. It's impossible to trade Starbury, your words. So why talk about it. It's a dead issue. Further more, dropping him or waiving him is rediculas. Steph's contract is not the single reason for our cap problem, it's Allan Houston. It's funny to me that no one mentions that in there hate Marbury dialog. Let's see how Steph plays with Brown out of the picture.

I know we are still paying Allen, but I still remember him hitting the game winner against the Heat in the playoffs. I'll agree lets see how Steph play without LB. "Starbury" wouldn't listen to a Hall a Fame coach, maybe he will listen to a Hall of Fame player. Otherwise they will both be out of a job.

How didn't starbury listen to LB?? He said get you're teammates involved he did we lost and his scoring avg dropped...he said be more aggressive he would score 20+ points and win most of our games but will still get criticized by LB saying to pass the ball more. Starbury's defense is decent so I don't know where all the negative knocks on his defensive game comes from. Don't base anything on marbury's game if you're getting it off of last season...because of right now...last year did not exist...LB wasn't our coach and we didn't win 23 games because. LB gave the knicks organization the darkest season in NBA history...

Undersized??

Steve Francis, at 6-5 one of the premier rebounding guards in the NBA, is undersized?
I’m wondering, have you ever seen Stephon Marbury play basketball?? He’s 6-2 and one of the strongest players in the NBA pound for pound. Who are these undersized guards you are referring to?

Benchwarmer
By not mentioning Marbury, you’re agreeing that he’s not undersized, but you correct me on Francis? Boy is there egg on my face!!

Once again your implications are wrong...I never agreed to your outrageous comments...to say starbury isn't undersized at the 1 is saying AI isn't undersized at the 2. Marbury can hold his own strength-wise but at 6-2...he has to create alot of space to get his shot off. So read this carefully "MARBURY IS UNDERSIZED BEING AT 6-2". He's not incredibly undersized but he's undersized. And never take my words and apply them to your own belief...not only is it wrong but it makes you look stupid at the end

I’m not going to waste my time getting into a name-calling match with you, for that truly would be stupid. Save your insults for someone you can intimidate, be sure that I am not that man! This is an exchange of ideas, not the ‘Jerry Springer Show’, so grow up!
To say that my implications are ‘outrageous’ is a little strange considering the literal meaning of undersized. If Marbury is strong enough to hold his own and Francis-at 6-3, like you say-is one of the premier rebounding guards in the NBA, how does that add up to undersized? If by ‘undersized’ you mean shorter than some of the other guards in the league, fine, I’ll buy that. But by no means is either of them undersized. You have your opinion, I have mine, so be it.
Now I was born and raised in Brooklyn, but now live in Connecticut. I am not, even by your standards, undersized and I visit Brooklyn on a regular basis. If you’ve read any of my previous posts, you’ll note that I make it a point not to insult or name call. If you feel the need to do that on a regular basis, maybe we could meet in NY and you can do it in person.
Show me the respect I show you.
