Media [NY Post] Frye Out 3-6 Weeks; Lee To Start

David Lee had been the Knicks' rock this season - emerging as a candidate for Sixth Man of the Year. But now he'll be pressed into starting duty with Channing Frye going down in a heap in the second quarter of last night's disgraceful 106-95 loss to the Bulls.

Frye, after X-rays were negative, was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle and will miss three to six weeks. Lee started the second half and will start for a while, which many fans had wanted anyway.

Bad news on Channing Frye.Though he was just coming into his own.At least its not broken so things could be a lot worse. As for David Lee,he deserves his chance, and i think he can make a big impact.Interesting to see how things work out defensively with Lee and Jared Jeffries in the lineup.

hopefully david wil continue to be as effective starting as he was when he was coming off the bench. this also will hurt the knicks because they wont have as much energy of the bench. malik rose will have to play like he did the end of last season for the knicks to win some games.
