no trade. curry's a legit big man, and there is only room for improvement. most development time SHOULD be used for his weak defense, but his offensive skills are pretty impressive for his young age.

What we do miss with Jamal is his ability to break down a defender which does lead to some nice assists. He is also our best option in the final moments of a game because he can break down a defense to get a shot off but that again is simply an indictment of our other guards inability to do the same and Jamal himself is not a high percentage shooter so you cant put so much faith into missing that element. We really only miss Jamal in a situational sense and not in terms of a full game.

What this team misses the most is a healthy QRich. Secondly we miss Lee's hustle and team play he makes the game easier for everyone. Then third we do miss Jamal but again in a situational sense.

To try to take a quote from someone from several years ago and match it to this: If Marbury is your best player you've got a problem.

Well if our team is missing Jamal Crawford that much then we have a very big problem.

If were so dependant on such a streaky inconsistent player then what does that say about the rest of our team? It says they're not very good that's what it says.
You probably won't reply to this but I'll address this anyway... okur is a 6'11" shooter who has the benefit of kirilenko (sp?) and boozer to clear up his defensive and rebounding deficiencies... emeka okafur is 6'9" and injury prone.. he's played 50 something games each year he's been in the league... if we could get okafur to play the 4 and he stays healthy he would be a very good complimentary player... we can't trade away curry for that... al jefferson is a power forward dominating on a bad celtics team... sharif abdur rahim used to post consistent double doubles with the grizzles when they stank too... let's not be fooled by his progress on a middling team...

defense and rebounding... although difficult can be learned... dsagana diop was a fat, lazy lottery pick for cleveland... he was traded to the mavs... introduced to the fine art of hustle and now is a defensive specialist... yao was an underachiever before he started working out with pewing and developed into the league's best big man... give herb and agguire time to help eddy develop that mean streak...

until recently... the knicks' win percentage had increased each successive month of the season... and curry was a big reason why... crawford with the deft penetration and dishing... and dlee to pick up the slack if he threw up a bad shot...

you speak of qrich's importance (and i like him) but how many games has he played as a knick? we won when we had marbury, dlee, crawford, curry, balkman, frye and little else... these are the core knicks... this is the group that grew together and improved their chemistry once the fight happened...

the knicks need to hold onto curry very tight... of the league's centers that are available... how many would you take over curry??? dhoward aint going nowhere... yao is a fixture in houston... okur would make it harder to win... since our big man would be hoisting long three pointers (which provide for long rebounds) instead of bullying down low... okafur is hurt too much... amare is not leaving phoenix... EVER... tim duncan is mr. san antonio...

that leaves us with... nazr muhammed (who i like, but he's no curry)... andrew bogut (luc longly jr)... michael olowokandi (umm yeah)... rasho nesterovic (rasho)... or any of a legion of scrubs...

it's fans like you who piss me off metro... fans like you who are never patient enough to rebuild... who are never satisfied with knick talent but always envy the cast offs from other teams... how many bad trades do you want drawn up??? it's because of fans like you that we traded away camby and nene for mcdyess (camby's hurt all the time... nene who??? mcdyess IS an allstar)... or trade away patrick ewing for vin baker... or foresake the bird in the hand for one in the bush (freddy weiss over artest)...

let's give the real squad... curry, lee, frye, balkman, collins, steph, crawford, nate... develop for another season... if they can't show improvement (42 - 50 wins) then let's start over...

and you still haven't provided that stats about blocks...

I won't reply? You were probably hoping I wouldn't...lol poor you.

This is my face when I read the part you think I supported the McDysess trade. The rest was laughs.

Okur offensive game is multi dementional. I've seen the guy shoot from anywhere in the court, slash to the basket, and post up. He has averaged over 9 rebounds before. So what are these rebounding weaknesses you speak of? Okur's career low of rebounds is superior to Eddy Curry's career high. Bottom line, Curry is one of the worst rebounding centers, similar to Mark Blount.

    He's an all star.
Sadly, he's a better defender than Curry.
    Superior rebounder.
    Better FT shooter
Has won a NBA ring with his consistant offense off the Pistons bench.
    Has range, and is unpredictable.
Doesn't turn the ball over constantly like Curry.
    18 ppg on 1.5 turnovers > 19 ppg on 3.5 turnovers.
Okur scores as much on less touches.

When Curry is being force feeded, he isn't very affective, and that hurts US...the Knicks, you know the team that we follow here? We're not following Curry or Isiah, so hop off. If they got dumped tommorow, most people would rejoice.

How are we going to get a Franchise player from the Bobcats like Okafor? He's the anti Curry. Are you insane? Okafor is a complimentary player compared to CURRY? If anything, Curry is a one dementional post scoring player who's terrible at anything. Curry isn't a FRANCHISE player or a guy who leads a team. Chicago is DOING great without Curry. Defensively, Knicks struggle with Curry. Lee, and Balkman have to cover 2 guys every time Curry is on the court, it seems like 5 on 4 when Curry is playing.

Sharif Abdul Rahim was a good talent, regardless of being on a poor team(still a superior rebounder, defender and all around player compare to Curry).

But to compare Sharif and Al Jefferson is FOOLISH. Al J is a post up player who's style is more physical. Sharif is more of a perimeter jumpshooter. He has a post game, but they're two totally different big men.

Curry is on a losing team too...so your theory just blew up all over your face..

Curry is a NBA veteran, who's getting minutes ALOT of minutes. He hasn't learned in 6 years, he's not going to learn it ever.

Plus, we have a COACH who doesn't emphasize DEFENSE. Avery Johnson and Jeff Van Gundy are very defensive mind coaches. Curry wouldn't get 30 minutes on Dallas or the Rockets. You ask why? He doesn't play position defense or help defense. For you to deny this fact shows a bias, you might as well agree and stop saying "He will learn how to do those things."

Knicks winning percentage has been up? We're 3-7 in the last ten games, where have you been lately? Once again to prove my agruement you don't watch the Knicks enough.

But if you want to talk about winning, Marbury has been the biggest contributor and REASON why we're even in close in games. If Marbury wasn't such a good defender this season, we would be so bad defensively. Marbury has to play LOCK DOWN DEFENSE every game so that guard won't go to the paint and abuse Curry's softness. Offensively, don't even need to mention what Marbury has done as a leader, penatration, clutch threes and 3pt plays. For you not to mention Marbury as part of the Knicks sucess shows your agruement is too BIAS and not reasonable enough.

I'll give you something though. When Curry tries to play defense(even though it looks pathetic, lol...it takes like 10 seconds for Curry to block a shot, he has the least explosive jump on defense I ever seen), like I said when he tries to play defense, it makes EVERYTHING easier for the Knicks. You saw this against Dallas. The only thing Curry failed to do yesterday was box out, he was very unclutch at grabbing the key rebounds. You saw Dirk's ability to be in the right position. Did you see Dirk grab that offensive rebound and comit a 3pt play? Before that, he made a GREAT pass to his wing player. This is why Dirk is a franchise player and a MVP player. He's multi dementional. Curry is as one dementional as it gets.

Curry is easy to defend now, teams double team and Curry becomes clueless. His passing is as bad as it gets. He has no jumpshot, so he gets trapted, kills the offense and turns it over. If he DOESN'T, he scores, but quickly gives up points on defense. Don't be fooled by the stats, start watching some Knicks game.

Q-Rich was great this season, his story is similar to Marbury. Great defense, his offense fitted in perfectly. If it wasn't for the injury, the Knicks would be in the playoffs. Q-Rich was the Knicks 2nd best player behind Marbury. This is because his all around game. He's a better rebounder, shooter, and defender than Curry. Also, Q-Rich can post up effectively.

Andrew Bogut isn't being traded. Curry is the worst first option in the NBA. He averages a ****load of turnovers, and has alot of touches and only averages 19 points per game.

If I piss you off kid, then log off the forum and stop crying. This isn't a daycare center. Stop catching feelings on the internet and grow the hell up. I honestly don't care about your feelings. It has nothing to do with basketball or the Knicks.

I have plenty of patience. Its fans like you who keep Isiah his job cause you're a new generation Knick fan. You're not use to the sucess in the 90s and 80s. Your perception of sucess is a 34 win season. You perception of great players are one dementionals who don't play defense and are turnover prone(Curry, Francis, Crawford etc). So don't talk to me about your emotions. You've proven over and over you don't even watch this team when you think Curry has been a bigger factor in our wins over Marbury.

What the hell are you talking about you chimp? Show me WHERE in this forum I supported the Camby/Nene trade. Camby/Nene are some of my favorite big men in the NBA. LOL @ you now assuming such invalid things. I guess you have nothing else to talk about. You don't watch the Knicks, so you can't elobrate on that. Stick back to trying to convince me that Curry is a franchise winner player with potential on defense.

Like I said, you're a monkey for Isiah. You help Isiah keep his job. Isiahsexuals say the same thing every year and its so true.

"Lets give them a chance next year." You'll been saying this crap till 2010 until we're .500. When we're .500, you'll be like "Lets give them 5 more years to win a title."

I don't expect us to win a title, but your expectations and hope for Isiah is kinda gay. Hence the name Isiahsexual.

Okur offensive game is multi dementional

Apparently standing in the high post or stepping behind for a three is now considered "multidimensional"

You're an idiot. Again here is a list of superior rebounders cause you're an idiot couldn't point out a superior rebounder if Denis Rodman was you father. Here's the list if you need help reading it get an adult

    1. Denis Rodman
    2. Charles Barkley
    3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    4. Karl Malone

    Mordern Day "Superior Rebounders"

    1. Kevin Garnett
    2. Tim Duncan
    3. Ben Wallace
    4. Dwight Howard

If you want pictures I'll post them. Mehmet Okur goes to bed and wishes he was Eddy Curry.

WTF is force feeded? It's force fed. Please speak human english. Trying to guess what you're saying is hard enough without the stupid spelling mistakes. And you go to post secondary? Yeah.

Why do you hate Curry? Is it because he wouldn't give you the $5 for shinning his shoes? You sound like a pissed off girlfriend. All day it's Curry hate. He can't help that he likes girls, just move on.

Ask any center to cover a guard. That's a losing battle for a big unless the big gets the angle. Hoes does a big get the proper angle? By the guard defending drive the man he's guarding into the bigs help. Now you have a slight idea of how to defend in basketball. The discription you threw out is/was bull****. You have no business talking on a Basketball forum. You SFA (SFA = Sweet **** All).

With Dallas, the MVP is really Josh Howard. You take him out of that line up and that team is a disaster. Josh Howard does all the little things. Dirk plays defense worse than Eddy Curry. He just has Stackhouse, Terry, and Harris to cover up his mistakes. Dirk had a pathetic 3 boards as well.

By the way Isiah Thomas has forgotten more about defense than you think you know. Isiah was multiple time first all defensive team in his day. So shut up with Isiah doesn't know defense bull****. I suggest you put up your NBA credentials against his or shut the **** up.

Okur's career low of rebounds is superior to Eddy Curry's career high

Ah, no it isn't. Their both equal to 7 RPG's. So feel free to say things that a rooted in reality. The bull**** you make up can be easily disproved by this little thing called "the internet".

Jack Haley has won five championships. No one even knows who he is. He played for the Bulls and san Antonio. He has five rings. He played in garbage time, just like Okur did. Only, he has five times the success. Your Okur won a ring is bull****. Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Bernard King and Barkley never won rings. All are light years ahead of Okur. So shut up alraedy

You're an idiot. So from this day forward I dub you METROTARD. You pretend to watch basketball, but you constantly lie to try to create a rebuttal for yourself. You're a pathetic joke. Your mom must wonder why she didn't have the abortion like she had originally planned. I might get banned, but it will be worth it cause you digust me. You can never just respond like a human. you have to be rude. So heres a taste of your own bull****.

P.S. By the way Metrotard, while your sitting there trying to think of something witty (it won't happen, you have zero wit) remember I paid more in taxes this last two weeks than you've earned. So why would I give a **** about what you're going to say?

Didn't see this post. Despite you being a troll with a disgusting user ID, we traded for the wrong Chicago big man.
