NBA.com Preview
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics try to beat the New York Knicks for the ninth straight time when the Atlantic Division clubs match up at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

The Celtics have not lost to the Knicks since March 4, 2001, when New York posted a home triumph. Boston has won the last four meetings here.

Boston, which is in first place in the Atlantic Division despite a 5-4 record, has won three of its last four games.

On Friday, the Celtics beat Cleveland at home, 91-82, behind 19 points from Paul Pierce. Erick Williams added 17 points off the bench and Vin Baker had 13 and 11 rebounds.

The Knicks lost a fourth straight game on Saturday, falling to Indiana here, 95-94, despite scoring a franchise-record 24 straight points in the third quarter. New York held Indina without a point for 8:01 in the period.

Allan Houston and Keith Van Horn scored 16 points apiece to lead five players in double figures. Kurt Thomas, who had 14 points and 11 rebounds, missed a go-ahead jumper just before the buzzer.

My Prediction
Celtics - Knicks: 102-99
