As you see, we had a playoff team in 2004-05...what if Isiah didn't make any deals after that. Let the expiring contracts expire. Saved all his draft picks, and let the team develop and get out of a cap hell. WHAT IF...don't you love the ifs?

WHAT IFS are always a bitch in the big apple... what if starks could hit a shot... what if charles smith could make a basket... what if ewing's layup didn't roll out... we absolutely be a better team today if IT didn't make any moves... but this is where we're stuck... we should get jerry west ASAP... but i doubt IT would stay on as just coach/GM... i would like to see him keep coaching... but let someone else control the pen...

Man, did you die or something? You were a big Isiahsexual.

MSGKnickz33, what if my friend. Knicks could of been an elite NBA team if it wasn't ran by idiots.

When Layden was Fired, and the throne went to Isiah Thomas his first move should've been a long discussion conference with Head Coach Don Chaney and Assistant Coach Herb Williams about the keepers on the roster and how to get a better success of the rotation he was using.
Isiah Thomas was suposed to give Coach Don Chaney the rest of that season, plus untill the last week before the February 14 trading deadline to make his first trade using the Knicks five expiring contracts.

If the inherited Layden roster was as bad as Isiah Thomas said it was he should have let it lead the Knicks to a LOTTERY Pick that season.
He would have had plenty of time that season to think of a decent Head Coach with a plan, a MLE FA, and two decent draft picks in the offseason.

Out of all the trades Isiah Thomas made in the last 4 years he still have not come up with a better pair of Guards than "Allan Houston & Ward", or a better Bigman lineup than Mutombo, Doleac, Mcdyess, Kurt Thomas, and KVH...
