Can't wait to see how Durant performs in his first summer league game. All indications is that he'll do his thing against most of these below average players.

it would be more impressive if balkman shuts durant down, now that i would love
I think Balkman, now in his second year will take that as a challenge. I would love to see Demetrius Nichols display some of that great shooting I've been hearing about.

The two players I'd like to see the most are Randolph Morris and Wilson Chandler.

Morris didn't really get any burn during the last few weeks of the season. Scouts & analyst say he has a ton of potential. They say he just needs to build up his confidence to believe that he can play in this league. He played on the same AAU squad as Josh Smith and Dwight Howard.

If Chandler is as good as advertised and Morris can play, then it would soften the blow a little if we did have to part with David Lee to get Artest.

Lee, Jeffries and Nate (I'd make them take him) for Artest and a filler.

I don't know if you meant to do it or it was just a type-o, but you have Nate listed as 2 feet and 9 inches tall. Anyway, I hope Nate has a great showing so we can use him as trade bait for Artest rather than David Lee.

yeah I want to see if Morris wouldv'e been a earlier first rounder or not, and I want to see if Mardy has been working out w/ Clyde or not, Clyde usually calls the games so he'll make mention of it either way. Is it a knock on Nate that he's being asked to play as a third year player?

Is it me, or is that one ... ummm real flamin azz picture that Morris took??

anyway, in regards to Morris, I saw a couple of his games when he played at kentucky and it's a shame this dude is still on the team and Frye is not. But whatever. If this dude can't block a shot like Howard or Josh Smith then his use is NO USE

PRO BASKETBALL

LAS VEGAS | As Ali Berdiel walks down Las Vegas Boulevard, he looks at all of the scenery around him, shakes his head and continues back to the tranquility of his hotel room.

It is in his room at the Wynn Hotel & Casino that Berdiel can concentrate on the task at hand: impressing the New York Knicks during his stint as a member of their summer league team. Twenty-one NBA teams are participating in the offseason league, which began play on Friday.

"The good thing is that I don't like to gamble," Berdiel said. "Last night I went to bed at midnight, I'm just very focused right now."

The Andrean graduate brought some of his friends from Puerto Rico with him to Vegas, but he is not spending any time with them; instead, he is hoping to capitalize on an opportunity that he originally passed on when the Knicks offered a 10-day contract in January.

"I wasn't even thinking about the money then, but the opportunity," Berdiel said. "I wasn't fully prepared like I wanted to be, but now I am."

During the past six months, Berdiel has displayed a maturity and drive that was not always present during his five-year career under the guise of Valparaiso men's basketball coach Homer Drew. The 6-foot-6 point guard often found himself injured and was forced to sit out what would've been his senior year because of plantar fasciitis.

In his final game, Berdiel injured his wrist and was unable to compete in any draft tryouts, summer leagues or training camps.

"It seems like every time I'm in a good spot, I always end up getting hurt," Berdiel said. "I never get too excited about the things that have happened until they actually do."

Berdiel is not ready to call himself a member of the NBA, although he believes he can compete on the highest level. If he fails to impress the Knicks, Berdiel hopes to turn some heads of some other teams before heading to Brazil for the Pan-American games.

"My biggest thing is to obviously make the team, if not, play well enough so other teams will invite me to their camps," Berdiel said. "It's the first step, a step to my dream, I just hope to make a team by the end of summer."

Berdiel and the Knicks begin play on Monday night against Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics. The NBA Summer League runs through July 15.

Wow...I hope he does well. We could use a shooter at the 2.

I notice that alot of Knick-Fans and Members feel the Knicks should Trade Nate Robinson.
I remember alot of people felt that same way about Charlie Ward every one of his 11 offseasons with the Knicks.

In the Knicks Summer League games you will see another Nate Robinson then the one you seen Isiah coach. There is no 35 MPG Curry on the court with Nate. So Nate Robinson will be very impressive and affective in the running transition in the Summer League games as a Combo-Guard, especially with Balkman on the court with him.

Nate Robinson is a great weapon off the bench for this Knick Team, if the Knicks did not play a Halfcourt offense on every offensive play (last season), then Nate Robinson could have RUN the ball up court on every offensive play for all the teammates who wanted to run with him for an easy basket.
Watch in the Knicks Summer League games how well Nate is in the quick running game with teammates that are Trying-Out giving it there all to impress Fans, Management, and oponents (something the Knicks money veteran players dont do). But also watch how the Knicks Coach will make Nate slow down.

Now that Zack Randolph is on this Knick Team it will become very boring watching every offensive play being slowed down to a halfcourt offense (to set up a LOW-Post move for Curry or Zack Stats).

I hope you are right and 100% on point with your assumptions on how good Nate will do. And after he does so great, TRADE HIM. I hope he's so good and so impressive that the Kings will accept him and jefferies for Artest
