I've been trying to fallow Lee's injury status for a while and it seemed that hes been getting better but still limited to just practicing shooting and other drills but stayin away from a lot of contact

David Lee have plenty options now! he could go and play his buttocks off on the USA practice team (audition for NBA players, coach, and teams), then accidently get hurt in the last practice to sit-out the 2007-8 season, rather than play for a Clueless Knick Coach. Several NBA teams will offer Hustling FA David Lee a contract (next offseason) similar to what Nene received from the Denver Nuggets.

Dr. Carpy - Lee has been invited by Colangelo to be a part of the practice squad that goes up against the US olympic team. Colangelo says that this practice team will be a long term project that will consist of the future US olympic players and are going to teach them and work with them grooming them for the olympics in 2012.

still doesnt mean anyone is gonna pay lee max dollars if he sits out next year. especially knowing his heart he wont even sit out. period.

Yea no one is going to give Lee a max deal. He has too many holes in his game still. He's a great player but has a long ways to go to recieve a max deal. First off is his defense

I understand the 2012 thing, he not an invitee for a roster spot now. The only way he could audition for big money as Kiyaman is insinuating is now. He's signed to be a Knick until 2010. That was my point. I still say hold your horses. At this point in time people thought KG would have won a championship. Or Kenyon Martin had a chance to one of the NBA's elite PFs. He's on the long term radar, not the immediate. So what, so is Tyson Chandler, who avg essentially a double double last year as well. Is he gonna get a max deal too?

Chandler got his Max deal from Chi already... if Darko can command 7 mil per for a 6 and 5 season... someone will be willing to offer DLee max money...

Yes darko got 7mill based on his potential and the fact that he's 7 foot. David lee obviously has potential, but he's not 7 foot. He still needs to prove he's more than a hustle player. Right now he rebounds and gets alot of points from dunks and cutting and slashing. Wich means he's only as good offensively as his the people passing him the ball. Say he shows he can consistently knock down a midrange jumper and doesn't slack on D-fense and rebounding, He'd get big money, Still not max money though. Plus how many mid range jumpers do you think he'll be shooting, being that hes not even first offensive option of the second unit. I think, he'll be solid and get his tap ins and put backs, fast breaks and slashing/cutting dunks. I don't see him setting up a pick and roll where he gets the ball and shoots from just outside the key, to often. We'll see.
