I like the Starting lineup. I actually suggested that in a post earlier this month. I"m not positive but i think Balkmans out until atleast mid November. As far as the guys who you suggested to release, I agree that James should be released as far as the other three i deffiantely think we should somehow find a way to keep Jared Jordan on the roster or hide away in the D league because hes going to be good player.

I can't believe I agreed with every word GetRealstic said. He's finally living up to his name.

I'm not sure about relesing Fred Jones because of the knicks defensive woes but I like your starting 5. At least we'd be gettin good defense from our shooting guard, point guard, and small forward. I love Balkmen, no homo, and to me at least he is already the most valuable player on the team. Not the best yet, but most valuable and I like Wilson Chandler a lot too.

Sorry, but in the Preseason Q.Rich is playing way to slow, and Crawford court awareness is still missing, Marbury is inconsistent, Curry defense is better than Zach, this Knick-Team need some Fresh Starters.

The Defensive Performance of Jefferies & Jones dont co-exist together in trapping or anything. And they have NO offense to offer.

The Curry & Zach Tandem in the two preseason games need Balkman on the court with them. Some help from PG-Collins would give the three Frontcourt players some help on both ends of the court.

I like your starting five except I'd switch Marbury with Collins. I like Collins as more of a distributer then Steph. I disagree with getting rid of J.Jeffries and F.Jones we need all the defence we can get. Plus Jeffries looks a lot better this year and he is probably our best team or help defender and can guard all five positions. In my opinion I think we should lose J.James (Piece of crap) , M.Rose (won't see the court anyway) , A.Houston (Needs to coach or grab a microphone) and Nate(never going to be a pass first PG/to short to play SG). That would give us the room to sign Nicholes , Jordan and get a defencive minded C/PF now that would be great!

i like balkman a lot as well, i think we have enough scoring in the start 5, so we could lose some offese for defense, i would start marbury, crawford, bakman, curry & zach. lee and collins would be first off the bench, follwed by qrich. you could use jones and jefferies as def specialist in match up,and nate when u want to pick up the pace, the rest will have to learn on the fly and step up if there is an injury, i do like rose when we play some of he better sf/pw combo players, lke duncan who he has good d when he plays against

send jordan and d nich to the d league, and keep morris as the last man out

Switch Crawford with Q and I like it. Q is to good defencivly and to much of a floor leader to have not be on the floor more then Crawford. Crawford would be another offencive spark like Nate off the bench. M.Rose has surprised me with how much he's got left in the tank (nice suprise), I wanted the knicks to buy him out for his roster spot but now I'm glad we kept him. Maby we can still lose fat-ass J.James and give his spot to D.Nicholes and send J.Jordan to the D-Leage to get ready for the NBA and our future.

Nyk Logo Crawford i dont even know

I would say i appreciated his energy in the game against Boston and im glad they made marbury into the 2 guard and although he only scored 15 points he could have easily had 20 which is the reason why i dont think he should play the 1. Crawford playing the 1 made him shoot alot less the only problem is his defense is poor hes getting beat by every guard. so i say let him come of the bench and play with the fast paised Nate who is the man and ive been saying it all summer long. I think Crawford would be able to guard the second unit guys better then the starters well i hope.

As Clyde says, Winning is CONTAGIOUS! When you have a teammate out there giving his all - others will follow.

With the "Tazman" energy, court awareness, and toughness, his teammates can do nothing but follow his lead.
I guess that, and how Balkman, Lee, and Nate, knows how to "search & find" each Knick oponents weakness then take advantage of it to outscore their oponent whether its applying more defense or speeding up the offense these three players does it well together. And that makes me a happy camper about this Knick-Team.

I have to agree with all the Fans which notice that Q.Richardson slowness at the SG position, his experience does not weigh up to compete with the speed of these young SG. Players like Wade, Rip, Felton, Gordon, and Kobe would get 20 points at half-time with Q.Rich defending them, because these players dont stop moving and running around teammates picks on offense.
Q.Richardson "Back-Injury" got the best of him.

Should the Knicks use the "Switch" in the Starting lineup vs certain Teams?

When a healthy Renaldo Balkman return, Coach Isiah Thomas should weigh each Knick oposition to let SF-Balkman Start in certain games and SF-Q.Richardson Start in certain games, all depending on the oponents frontcourt Starting Bigmen.
I also believe the samething should be done with SG-Nate & SG-Crawford in the Starting lineup, and PF-Lee & PF-Zach in the Starting lineup.
Because we already know that Marbury & Curry will Start all 82 games this season.

Doing this would develope "Confidence & Chemistry" among an 8-Man rotation early in the season.
However, for this Knick-Team to have great success they have to use their Depth-Chart in alot of games going 10 to 12 men DEEP on their roster so their main 8-Man rotation is always fresh and out of foul trouble in the start of the 4th qtr.
Many may say different, but Malik Rose & Collins should be the 9th & 10th Man off the bench to average 6 to 12 MPG this season (Nate Robinson has showed repeatedly that he is the BEST Combo-Guard on this Knick Team and Crawford should strictly play 95% of his playingtime at the SG position only.)...

    Default Balkman status update

    The boot came off today.
Balkman was doing some light jogging.
Looks like everything healed up - just needs to be brought back up to speed gradually.

    Nyk Logo Thats great

I truly Hope Balkman can catch up soon i mean we are doing well now but with the added energy from balkman teams wont be able to stop us we are way to deep. Coaches are either going to have to keep there starters out on the floor way to long risking injury or bring in there second unit which will get burned by the knicks 2nd unit damn we have a squad.
